Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea (PL) Saturday 1st November 17:30 GMT

A very enjoyable game. Always is when we smash Spurs. The scoreline doesn't reflect our dominance in the match.

Maresca still has an impeccable record against Spurs with 3 wins from 3 games. Since January 2019 (in all competitions), our record against them is 14 wins, 3 draws, 1 loss.

We've won 7 of our last 9 PL clashes away from home against Spurs (since they left 3 Point Lane).

  • 2017/2018 = Tottenham 1-2 Chelsea

  • 2018/2019 = Tottenham 3-1 Chelsea

  • 2019/2020 = Tottenham 0-2 Chelsea

  • 2020/2021 = Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea

  • 2021/2022 = Tottenham 0-3 Chelsea

  • 2022/2023 = Tottenham 2-0 Chelsea

  • 2023/2024 = Tottenham 1-4 Chelsea

  • 2024/2025 = Tottenham 3-4 Chelsea

  • 2025/2026 = Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea

Taken 3 points off Spurs to give them to Wolves next week.

Normally id agree but them and west ham are truly awful. I think event charity fc will struggle to give them 3 points.

Now burnley away after the international break on a 1230 kick off...

It's good to know that no matter how sh*t we are, we can always count on Spurs to hand us a win. At this point, we are in their heads rent free. I don't think Spurs believe anymore that they are capable of beating us.

There have definitely been times we won where criticism was absolutely warranted. But not today.

That was a thoroughly professional performance and the set up was excellent. One or two players missed big chances but for an away performance that was very good.

Totally understand where you are coming from. But after winning club world club and destroying best team in the world. I think we do have a team that is capable of more than what we are achieving right now. All I think is down to tactics of this manager. That is what I was pointing about. Lets see hoe he does on Nov 30th.

Cant believe that some thinks it was a masterclass by Coco the clown,

TOTTENHAM WERE WOEFUL, one shot on target says it all

Letting the fullbacks play as fullbacks is not clever, he still had no need to play a defender in midfield, when we have two other players who are specialist midfielders

Also his subs were crap, Neto was worse then Garnacho yet stayed on the pitch for 81 mins, i heard someone saying Garnacho was tired but how is he going to get up to speed if he keeps getting pulled on the hour every game, and to then lose your spot to a bloke who has only done well against a team that had 10 men for 75 mins and Wolves reserves, who then from 8 yards out managed to hit the moon when it seemed easier to score

Estevao should be starting and to then give him 9 mins and that was only because Neto had cramp, he done more in those minutes then Neto did in the 81 minutes he was on the pitch

So NO it wasnt a masterclass

Well debatably we should have won 3-0 by my count, Gittens and good blocks by their keeper prevented that.

I thought we would win as the hoodoo is still in places let's hope we build on that.

On Estevao I think he is being protected he recently had a knock and derbies against Spurs are not for the faint-hearted I also think he is being gradually introduced as they are trying to protect a young talent.

On Joao Pedro took his goal really well and unlucky not to have two.

Nice to see Spurs fans booing off their own team as they realise Thomas Frank is not the new Messiah.

Really shows the toxic mentality of the club - van der Ven and some other Postecogolou lackey refused to greet Frank as they left the pitch

It felt like they collapsed because we worked out their set-piece nonsense. To be absolutely fair, if Robert Sanchez is able to come and confidently claim your corners, thus f**king up your entire routine, it was not a very good routine the first place.

Simmons is so sh*t

We really dodged a bullet there. Folk have been moaning about Gittens but he looks 100% better than Simons. So good to see him at Spurs!!

As for the game Saturday, have never looked so comfortable against Spurs. We never really looked in danger and it should have easily been 3 or 4 nil. Not the best of games as a spectical - very scrappy with little quality. Was moaning when I saw the starting line-up but thankfully Spurs were that poor it didn't matter. Estevao should have come on much sooner for Neto who was pretty ineffective but 3 points against the spuds - Happy days!

On a side note, watched match of the day for a first time in a while, they showed the Fulham/Wolves game before us.. we were 5th up. Absolute madness.

To be fair, our games had the least goals and there wasn't a lot of quality. 1-0's tend to slip down the list unless it's a top of the table clash.

I think we were much better tonight than against West Ham. Tactically we were excellent and if Pedro and one or two others had their shooting boots on it would have been a canter.

Today we made Spurs play badly whereas against West Ham we won because they were terrible.

That’s my take anyway.

They were poor with or without our efforts.

Strongly disagree on this one. In football, esp at this level, you let any! team have the ball and create and they will produce enough to win a match.

The cope in this thread is really strong. 🙂

He may not be dream coach for many here, but if he's criticized when he both wins with a dominant performance and when he loses playing poorly, then I pity the next manager.

Another excellent video from Adam Clery. We could have a pinned Adam Clery thread tbh. The @Bob stark of YouTube. Bet you Adam could have told us who feeds Mudryk

Is this the same guy from four four two?

Nah the guy talk nonsense

@WhiteWall

I like to analyze how manager try to use "tactic" to get advantage but I don't believe tactic is everything.

And I don't like tacticos ball. When manager implement the "best" way to play football you usually end up with structured, conservative and boring style football.
