Personally, I think if we had started Gittens and Estevao, we would have been clear by half time. The game was perfect for them on the wings, especially Gittens who loves everything played in front of him.

The second worst performance we have faced, the other being West Ham.

90 minutes playing a back 9 in their own stadium, 3 shots created in total, nothing from open play. This in the context of a big summer spend, a European trophy, and a new manager. Spurs are truly a pathetic club.

The next game, the only positions I would consider changing are the wings and Enzo.

Pretty good day all round. A few positives:

Sanchez beginning to look like a goalkeeper.

I just feel happy when Reece is on the pitch.

Esatavao's cameo, We need to see him on the pitch more.

Team spirit looks good. We won every second ball.

Our high line on free kicks is expertly executed.

Fofana is an athlete and fits the profile of a modern centre back perfectly.

Cucurella - what a competitor. Won every aerial challange he contested and he's 4'6".

Tactically we were sound.

Caicedo is genuine world class.

A special word for the ref. If you stayed on your feet while being fouled you got the free kick. If you screamed like you'd been shot - play on.

There have definitely been times we won where criticism was absolutely warranted. But not today.

That was a thoroughly professional performance and the set up was excellent. One or two players missed big chances but for an away performance that was very good.

He’s been captain for a reason boys and girls.
