But to be honest none of the names available or coming to the end of there contracts floated my boat

I personally would have tried to get to the summer and gone for Tuchel again

If I could have my pick it’s inzaghi but that’s impossible is so many way

So we are stuck

Palace manager

Bournemouth manager

It’s not really great options look at spurs with Frank not really changed there world

Is Rosenior really worse than the options available

Personally would have gone for Xavi. Is available, is known for structure and disciplined approach, experienced at the highest level.

Rosenior's in tricky situation right now. If he can't agree terms with Chelsea, Blueco will probably sack him for 'talking to Chelsea '.

They'll be squeezing him from both ends!

He was slowly building his career at Strasbourg. Making this move is the wrong call, bit unfortunately for him I don't think he had a choice.

He could have carried on there and, perhaps, got a lower PL he could build on.

Instead he comes to us where expectation are high but what he is given is mid table level squad, micro management and having his hand forced on first team maters.

Honestly he'd be better off saying not and getting fired by BlueCo.

He was born in Wandsworth apparently. Would that make him the most "local" manager we've ever had ?

Huddersfield Town won 3 league titles and a runners up and an FA Cup and a runners up in the 1920s, but I don’t think that they have that level of expectation today.

Definitely an old fart, I was at junior school in Basingstoke with Tommy Langley. If him and his dad weren’t die hard Chelsea back then I’d probably be a Saints fan so I’m giving Tommy credit for reducing it to 40 years of suffering, instead of the full 60 years, since then.

As bad as the idea of Rosenior is we’ve had worse and we will survive. Any of us that watched Division 2 games back in 82-83 against the likes of Grimsby, Carlisle and Rotherham can handle Murkylake mismanagement.

I detest Pep with a passion who has completely destroyed the excitement of watching a game. What makes it worse is that now everyone thinks it’s the only way to play and these clowns are fixated on it.

Give me counter attack or big un and a little un up top over possession borefest every day…..

See, I love Pep. He's my GOAT. Yes his influence has ruined football but that is not his fault. He's built a City juggernaut that for the most part play good football and blow teams away, especially if they try and park the bus. It's not his fault that other coaches like Maresca try and copy the possession style but cannot copy the devastating attacking impetus that comes with Pep Ball.

After having Enzo as a manager and player, im not too excited at now hiring a Liam. Any manager's named Cole out there?

Jokes aside, we just have to hope that this is the right appointment. Having an experienced manager could help but there is no guarantee. They can be very stubborn sometimes. And well, during the Roman era, we had experience and none of them could last more than 2 seasons.

Regardless of what is happening now. I really hope the board have the ambition of this club competing for top honours.

This. City's style today if very much removed from Barcelona's tiki taka. That's how you know just how good he is - dominating while tweaking his tactics to suit his players and leagues. The caveat is that he has complete control over his squad dynamics. Grealish (100m) can't give him what he wants as a touchline, 1v1 winger...benched then sold. Other managers are not so lucky.

The answer is no, they haven’t got winning titles (significant, not Mickey Mouse trophies in the US) as a top priority. Their signing and coach appointing model tells you everything you need to know.

Thing is, he got it wrong with Grealish whose strength was always as a free spirit. Pep didn't get that. And neutered him. Next up is Semenyo. More of the same I fear.

Actually, I think they're stupid (arrogant) enough to think because we finished 4th last year, won the Con League and Club World Cup that THEIR new business model was working, they'd cracked the EPL!
