Sounds like they’ve got Iraola lined up who I read, is not interested in making decisions and happy to just coach. Suspect he’s probably a better fit for their model

And ours by the sounds of that

UCL is where this club belongs not in the gutter these clowns have dragged us to.. we are celebrating an Arsenal loss and sad part is even next year that’s the best we can hope for since we finished fck in 10th.. shameful- all of the reflection and not one director got sacked - where is the accountability was only Liam responsiblE for this disaster ??

The lack of Eurpoean football may just help Alonso in his new reign, more time on training drills, less fatigue at the business end of the season.

First time in 2 decades the Premier League will have no Champions League managers.

Can’t stress enough how important it is we get this window right.

Apparently looking at Jonathan fking Rowe. The problem we've got is that these directors are really really sh*t at what they do. Its impossible for us to move forward with these clowns, wearing Shallow Hall glasses, being in charge.

Hopefully that dies down like the Alex Scott rumor.

I wouldn't mind the Alex Scott signing, if he was 30m and to replace Lavia as a squad option. By all accounts he's a solid pro, very well liked there.

Jonathan Rowe however seems like one of the most brain dead signings that they could make though. And exactly the type of person they sign

Inherited an elite CL club and just needed to employ the right people (or retain even) to fill the few holes in the squad to keep us competitive at that level. Leaving new owners to concentrate on the two most pressing issues off the pitch namely the stadium rebuild and, the thing that these guys were I was led to understand were good at, - Commercial revenue generation.

Instead we find ourselves where we are and as you say zero accountability from anybody above coach level. Actually really pssed me off the way they rewarded them after the Conference League and World Club Cup Wins. I think the World Club Cup win although nice to win, had a negative flip side in that it actually embolded these clowns and thinking it actually meant something gave them justification for how things were being handled.

12 months later the so called "world champions" aren't even in Europe, and we are stuck with that fcking horrible badge graffitiing our shirt for the next 3 years, honestly I absolutely detest it it is just like something that I used to find hidden in my box of Sugar Smacks in the 70s era of cereal free gifts. .

It is shocking that no SD’s head has being displayed on a pike at SB and very telling that the owners are adamant that nothing is going wrong with their project “championship” other than a manager.

Qualifying for any European competition would probably have forced Chelsea to either move out a bunch of players to raise revenue or receive a one-year ban from Europe, while having to sign a new settlement agreement that might end up being even more restrictive -- in addition to more fines.

Blue Co are genius losing that final game.

Zero accountability what so ever.

Where can I apply at Clearlake? Job security must be incredible.

The UEFA wage cap is a hard 70% of revenue, whereas the PL is 85% soft cap + some concessions to allow clubs to invest for a European push. They put out the PR early talking about how playing Conference League wouldn't be economically viable because the revenue wouldn't cover costs, let alone allow for squad building.

We wouldn't be the first club to have those issues, Juventus had similar in the inaugural UECL, opting to take a 1-year ban from Europe instead.

Always thought he was an attacking mid but you're right. Seeing as Bournemouth bought him for over 20m though no chance of that price unfortunately.

A top and established CM to partner Caicedo should be the priority though and I reckon Alonso pushes for that.
