May 1, 201511 yr Gundongan is injury prone isn't he? last season and the one before he suffered bad ones but he's never been like that before. Just unlucky rather than injury prone.
May 1, 201511 yr Gundongan is injury prone isn't he? He has had one major injury, but not much besides that: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ilkay-gundogan/verletzungen/spieler/53622 I hope none of that happens, as we have plenty of our own young talent who are itching to play for us. I think our talent needs to impress on loan at PL level before they are given a chance. When United keeps spending £100mil+ every summer, with City and Arsenal not far behind, then we won't have the opportunity to play these talents.
May 1, 201511 yr If we only signed a new backup GK, a CM and someone to play on the RW ( again ) i would be very happy.
May 2, 201511 yr Griezmann or lacazette. id keep mikel. Thats all we need. Our midfield and forwards would look like this Fabregas---matic Lacazette/griezmann--willian--hazard Costa Back up Mikel Ramires Loftus cheek Oscar cuadrado Remy
May 3, 201511 yr Griezmann or lacazette. id keep mikel. Thats all we need. Our midfield and forwards would look like this Fabregas---matic Lacazette/griezmann--willian--hazard Costa Back up Mikel Ramires Loftus cheek Oscar cuadrado Remy Looks good, except id get rid of Mikel and ramires as back up and use Romeu instead of mikel and instead of Ramires use Baker Edited May 3, 201511 yr by Praz94
May 3, 201511 yr Looks good, except id get rid of Mikel and ramires as back up and use Romeu instead of mikel and instead of Ramires use Baker poor mikel, what more can he do? A solid matic back up and offers something different playing along side matic.
May 4, 201511 yr I don't dislike Mikel, but his lack of pace when he has been bypassed is really worrying. It showed on Saturday I thought. He is a respectable enough back up for Matic, but I do feel it's an area that can be comfortably upgraded, and also that he himself would like to feature more regularly next season.
May 4, 201511 yr Chelsea are in pole position to sign highly-rated Bari defender Giuseppe Scalera, reports Tuttomercatoweb. The 17-year-old right-back has yet to play a first-team game for Bari, but his displays at youth level and for Italy Under-17s have caught the eye of the Blues, while Tuttomercatoweb report that Arsenal are also interested in signing him. Chelsea’s first-choice right-back Branislav Ivanovic has played every minute of league football so far this season, and he’s scored four goals, registered five assists, and won 70 tackles. http://www.squawka.com/news/chelsea-favourites-to-sign-young-right-back-giuseppe-scalara/369042
May 5, 201511 yr We're after Rickie Lambert this morning apparently. Please god don't let this be true!!!
May 5, 201511 yr We're after Rickie Lambert this morning apparently. Please god don't let this be true!!! Homegrown, striker, wouldn't mind being second to Diego Costa, His age and recent form is against him but I wouldn't mind Lambert as an alternative to Costa and Solanke.
May 5, 201511 yr Homegrown, striker, wouldn't mind being second to Diego Costa, His age and recent form is against him but I wouldn't mind Lambert as an alternative to Costa and Solanke. He would be third choice, to Costa and Remy. Are people already forgetting how well Remy performed when required this season?
May 5, 201511 yr Be gutted if we signed Liverpools 3rd choice striker. Why anyone would want him here is beyond me. It's not as if he would be an experienced head, ake has probably played more champions league minutes. Having just won the league you would expect us to improve our squad, rickie lambert, wouldn't that. Random bs story of the year so far.
May 5, 201511 yr Wouldn't mind him if he was prepared to be backup to Costa, remy, and bamford! I.e never plays. Do not want. Beetroot packing bin dipping Scouse c**t
May 5, 201511 yr If Newcastle go down.. what do people think of us getting Tim Krul as a back up keeper? Always looked reliable when I have seen him play and I don't think he'd mind playing second fiddle for us.

Always looked reliable when I have seen him play and I don't think he'd mind playing second fiddle for us. Comfortably good enough, as a bonus he is home-grown as well. Unfortunately I can't imagine him being content with playing as a backup. He could probably start for at least half the teams in the league. However if we can make it happen he is probably the best option I've heard so far.
May 5, 201511 yr It got to a point where Liverpool preferred to play WITHOUT a striker than play with Ricky Lambert, why would we bother wasting our time with him?
May 5, 201511 yr Wouldn't mind him if he was prepared to be backup to Costa, remy, and bamford! I.e never plays. Do not want. Beetroot packing bin dipping Scouse c**t I'm fairly certain Bamford won't be third choice. He'd get more minutes elsewhere in the league. As for Lambert,I could make a case for him based on cost, his ability in the air, his half-decent feet, his dead ball ability and the fact he's English.... But f**k that. Give Solanke a chance.
May 5, 201511 yr Lambert lol. He can't even cut it at a side like Liverpool so why in gods name would we want him here? He's an over the hill journeyman now, we don't have the room to let this plank warm our bench.

Give Solanke a chance. would sooner see bamford as our backup than solanke to be honest. Bamford looks like he could be the real deal (although how often do you see players steamroll the championship only to fade out in the prem). tricky one with bamford... player of the season, obviously will want minutes and needs them in order to build on a quality season. could he play as our main backup to costa? lots of talk about remy leaving and lacazette coming in.... argh. i f**king hate the transfer window. edit: forgot to say - f**k lambert too. May 5, 201511 yr From what I have seen of Solanke he looks more technically gifted than Bamford and looks like the kind of striker we are currently playing with...strong, great feet and quick. Bamford is doing great but I do have some doubts if he would fit in quite as well as Solanke when comparing their playing styles against each other.

Bamford is doing great but I do have some doubts if he would fit in quite as well as Solanke when comparing their playing styles against each other. Solanke still has a couple of years to catch up to Bamford, who I believe definitely deserves his shot at the 1st team this year. Should be our 3rd choice striker behind Costa and Remy
May 12, 201511 yr The return of Babayaro? (minus the yaro). Actually he's Ghanaian and supposedly one of the stars of Bundesliga this season. Saw rumours a while back, and looks like they've resurfaced. Real Madrid interested too apparently. Considering the murkiness surrounding Filipe Luis, maybe there is something in this one. Looks decent, and yes, yes, I realize it's only highlights. https://youtu.be/SOuR2Mm0iQU
