July 10, 20224 yr Would be a pleasure to have an elite stirker like Lewa to play for us. However would he fit in to TT style?

He's Havertz level of link up play up front while also a scoring machine. Too good to be true so I don't get onto that train for the time being.
July 10, 20224 yr How is Lewandoski fits in at PSG, playing right back or central midfield? 😁I don't think Mbape will allow the transfer. He'd be a great signing if we manage to pull it off, legendary goal scorer and he won't settle for a top 4 finish.

Lewndoski is without doubt a striker. In fact the best striker. Even Haaland has yet to prove himself to this level. BUT, but the age thing. IF he can give us two productive season then it would be hard to say no. I hope that this isn't just a commercial marketing ploy to reach the Polish UK fan base? lol Edited July 10, 20224 yr by TheCeleryKing

No doubt Barcelona are already printing more money in readiness for a bid.
July 11, 20224 yr Despite his age we'd be mad not to pursue this. He still has at least two years playing at the highest level and if we can get him for those two years he will bang goals in for us for fun. Imagine a front three of Sterling, Lewandowski and Havertz let alone if we do get Rahpinha on top of that. That would be elite!

I'm still trying to work out where they are getting that 75 million for Raphinha. I was also told earlier that they still owe money for the Coutinho transfer. That was 4 years ago! Why would any club make a deal with them?

Whether it is Raphinha refusing to go anywhere but Barca or Drinkwater happily sitting on his huge contract and running his career for money they hold all the power now at the top.

Rumour is they've just bought a half a million Euro lottery tickets. If that fails Laporta is off to Vegas.

Why would any club make a deal with them? what i don't understand is why these players want to go to that club. Their team is very average. except Nico, Gavi and Pedri. + every year you risk Barcelona asking you to reduce your salary with 40%, or they force you out because they need the money. You're not going to win the league because Real Madrid is far far superior. They don't really have fans but mostly tourists every game. And Xavi is an unexperienced coach. Look at how disgraceful they are to De Jong. They still have to pay him 17 million but they try to shame him and criticise him that he doesn't want to reduce his salary and they expect him to just forgo the 17 million he is owned
July 11, 20224 yr Read that they owe €126M to 19 different clubs. In fact, here it is: https://barcauniversal.com/barcelona-still-owe-e126-million-in-transfer-debt-to-19-different-clubs/ I know when it comes to finances, nothing is truly ever really black and white. But, I'm not really understanding why any club would do business without getting money upfront, I know Bayern have said this regarding the Lewy deal, and I find it surprising that Leeds are willing to enter an agreement to defer payment for Raphinha
July 11, 20224 yr What Barcelona seem to be doing is selling off their future finances in pursuit of short term goals. It reminds me of something that the mayor of Chicago did years ago. He sold off the rights to all the parking meters for a fixed fee to a private company for something like 25 years. Short term this raised some capital, but it ended up costing the city millions in lost revenue, and will do for decades to come. Laporta will probably be long gone from Barcelona when they realise how bad a decision this was.

They’ve pulled one already and all this money came out of it. Like a fruit machine. Apparently, they’ve got a second one they can call on this week.

So it is basically like taking a loan from their future value. A dangerous gamble from a club that is already heavily in debt. Especially when used to increase their already massive payroll.

Yes, but the money they get from the so called levers has to be divided between salaries, infrastructure and to pay their debt, so I'm not sure how they are managing to sign on new players. It all smells of a scam to me.
