July 13, 20224 yr I would love to be a fly on the wall to know what Barca are promising these players for them to even take pay cuts to join the team.
July 13, 20224 yr I wondered why we hadn't shown any interest in Memphis now I have an answer. If TT doesn't want him then fair enough, seems like it would have been a decent move since he provides goals and assists. I suspect TT wants more dynamic forwards with buckets of pace

I suspect TT wants more dynamic forwards with buckets of pace he's not a good character though. Very self obsessed. Not really a team player. Also very busy with all kinds of other stuff besides football. Very average forward. Not much better than Broja.

No consistency: he can be brilliant one moment and then either become very clumsy or disappear altogether.
July 13, 20224 yr Bit random, but i am a little surprised that the name of Andrea Belotti hasn't popped up in these pages at all recently especially as he is now a free agent. To a lesser extent the same could be said of Isco.
July 13, 20224 yr I hope we absolutely fleece Barca for Alonso and Apzi. Don’t let them go cheap Todd.

The fee won’t matter, probably won’t ever get it in full anyway. would rather a lower fee and all up front, I’ve no idea how Barca are actually operating and signing players. I think Isco is unofficially a gamer now. I still rate him but I reckon he has lost his love for the game. He has 5 CL medals so understandable if he just wants to sit on the beach.

July 15, 20224 yr https://arsenal-mania.com/forum/threads/omari-hutchinson-out.35811/page-2 apparently he is not the only one who is joining us from Arsenal some on that forum fear that Charlie Patino is next as he wasn't included in the pre season tour squad Edited July 15, 20224 yr by azpi28
July 16, 20224 yr Well despite all their issues Barca snapped up Raphinha this week and now have a deal at up for Lewa: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12652856/robert-lewandowski-barcelona-agree-42-5m-deal-to-sign-bayern-munich-striker Truly amazing... I mean how can they spend around 90mill on those two but cannot find 10-15mill to sign Dave and Alonso? Edited July 16, 20224 yr by axman2526

It is so wrong the football authorities allow them to spend money on new players when they owe their current players back pay. Yet we got banned for operating normally because our former owner is Russian...
July 16, 20224 yr It makes a mockery of FFP and the sh*t we and City have put up with how they are allowed to force pay cuts on players, while also spending £150m on new signings. Yet the Spanish FA, UEFA, FIFA etc are 🤫. If this was us doing it our a FA and the corrupt vermin at UEFA and FIFA would be all over it.
July 16, 20224 yr And Barcelona was one of the main teams who was behind the Super League and they got all upset about British teams still spending money after Covid. It's literally a future mortgage what they are doing now yet UEFA & FIFA have turned a blind eye to it all. If that isn't the very definition of living above your means then I don't what is.

And corruption. They are selling future rights. Its appalling that they are able to do all this when being technically bankrupt. Surely this means all bets are off now for the rest of us as well. If Uefa and FIFA are this gutless or bent then fck ffp, its a free for all. Derby County must be kicking themselves that they are not in La Liga Edited July 16, 20224 yr by WhiteWall

Derby County must be kicking themselves that they are not in La Liga Make no mistake, if this was Betis, Athletic Bilbao, Celta or any other team, they’d be relegated and would possibly face disappearing. It’s not the first “historic” team to have disappeared in Spain. Barcelona are the darlings and they have more leniency from the Spanish RFEF and so on. However, they can’t register players unless they demonstrate that they spend 1€ from 4€ saved. Football authorities can’t deny them the right to sign players, La Liga is denying them the right to register them unless they become economically viable.

Im thinking Todd Boehly learned a lot from his meal in Spain... they are desperate for cash we wont get paid unless its in instalments we like swap deals but not at the risk of taking on substandard players let them chase after every player thats available and even buy a few / beat us to them - use up what credit they have, then choose our real targets. if they need cash do all we can to avoid giving them cash Azpi & Marcos' price should nice a firm and /or the swaps should be in our favour oh and he had a nice meal Edited July 16, 20224 yr by OneTommyLangley
