Koulibaly,... Maehle??? Bring in the Ex-Genkies! He is one of my all time former KRC Genk players.

This guy has 5 lungs, pace and for a wing back passes his man very easy! Crazy work rate. Has everything to become a fan favorite.

At the start he struggled a bit with his positioning, because he is so good offensively, but that has improved a lot.

He is the type of guy that makes rushes over the wing the entire game and will still sprint in 95th minute over the entire pitch when everyone else is flat out to get that winner.

I remember in the preseason of Genk, when everyone came back from their holiday. The squad had to do a Yoyo interval test.

He finished it entirely all 24 levels 5.5km with speeds over 20km/h. The guy just never gets tired.

Please make it happen. 🤩

So he runs a lot?

Run a lot past his opponents with the ball or outpaces them yes.

Not just running like a headless chicken.

Had a lot of assists for a Right back at Genk and has been crucial for Denmark as well.

Can play on both sides.

Haven't followed him in Italy, so don't know exactly how he improved or hasn't.

Cucurella has handed in a transfer request to try and force his move to City through.

Remember when players used to do that to join us? Now they even turn down more money to make moves elsewhere lol...

Last season it was Kane acting up, The Pep pull is different.

Pep and Klopp have this ability to get almost any player they want, they are big winners but even bigger personalities. TT lacks that personality to pull in targeted players imo

I think you're right. I've been thinking same and he probably hasn't benefitted due to his disdain or maybe more appropriately, lack of transfer market activity interest.

Maybe subconsciously as an area he doesn't like, it shows through in the way he tries to sell his vision to players when he calls them and maybe also explains out haphazard approach to transfers.

I don't like to admit it but we have had a bit of a scattergun approach to the market and whilst we indeed were severely limited in what we could do till sale went through, I'd have thought and was hoping he at least had in mind the players he would want to go after in the market and not gone through the dilly dallying which has cost us the acquisition of some players already

Its not the Barca PR machine but this bullsh*t football.london site. This sh*t site has linked us with literally every player on the planet. This site does not sell sensational or hyperbolic stories but complete garbage.

There is an element of that, but can’t be all there is to it. By handling in a transfer request at Brighton, he is forgoing his £m loyalty bonus. We offered to triple Kounde’s wages and the deal still didn’t happen. You bet if it was Pep, he would have been at City on far lower wages.

Think it would help if he actually starts developing players, and has that reputation of naturing talents. That would help his standing among his peers, and be his calling card. Find it weird he isn’t targeting German players considering his background, but I reckon a phone call to Werner or Havertz wouldn’t be an ideal recommendation for a potential target.

On the plus side it really upset Barcelona fans.

Joakim Maehle (RB) Agent has been speaking to West Ham about the Atalanta player. He has also spoken with Chelsea and to Spurs. He might perhaps be third or even fourth choice for Chelsea.

We're chasing a "statement signing" it seems.

Bats and Barkley in talks with Everton on permanent moves. I’ll believe it when i see it - but surely Frank knows won’t work out!

I know, bonkers. I suppose they’re probably going quite cheap and he thinks they can do a job. Barkley seemed to play ok under Frank didn’t he?

They’re both wasting their career either way so they need to move on from Chelsea.

If we get 10mill for the two and get them off the books we have done well.

A fire sale of all the deadwood to host get rid of them.

Ross, Bats, Baka, Emerson, Alonso, Timo, Ziyech etc etc at 5mill a pop to get them gone.

On the basis that our second choice is not good enough ans we're shipping him out, how sh*t must this guy be to be 4th choice.

Granted I've only seen youtube clips but he looks like an ideal addition.

Batsman has comfortably the best strike rate of any of our forwards ... get him the right service and he'll score, even at Everton.

Still think Barkley, if he had been played more, would have turned out ok for us. I think he intuitively plays the central midfielder position as well as anyone in our squad.

Sticking my neck out, I'll say that both of them will do well with a fresh start and a bit of faith shown in them.

Well if we sell them in time for it I would not put it past both to score for Everton next weekend 😉

Interesting stats.

If Bats went 38 games (a full season) without scoring for us would he go from deadwood to being a top talent being let down by the coach and the system?

Neither Batshuyai or Barkley are good enough to start for us but I think they're both handy squad players.

As we are right now I'd rather have Bats in a squad spot than at least one of our wingers (no prize for guessing who) despite his obvious limitations he fills a role in our squad no one else can and he's a handy finisher to bring on late.
