I would bet it will be a 2 year loan deal with us picking up a large part of his wages.

As long as he isnt in our first team squad next season i will be happy. Enough is enough and the circus has to end.

There'll probably be 20 pages of celebration (minimum) where he eventually does go, so I'm going to say yes.

Then when Costa goes 5 games without scoring after the summer we will have another thread like this.....

Well there were at least 20 pages of celebration when he arrived, so it would only be fair!

I'm expecting him to start to either the home game to Sunderland or the away match to Atletico.... I just don't see him being sidelined until the end of the season personally especially as Eto'o fades towards the end of matches so even just to keep him fit and fresh I think Torres will still see more minutes from now to the end of the season.

Whether or not he scores again though...Doubtful.

I would be surprised to see him start against Atletico and Sunderland. Ba and eto'o have both earned a place ahead of him.

Jose's shuffled his strikers all season, scoring isn't enough to keep your starting place for him.

There's been a few times this season a striker has put in a good performance only to find himself on the bench for the next game.

Despite having a settled back 4 that's been allowed to play themselves into form he hasn't extended that privilege to the strikers.

Is anyone else starting to get that exciting feeling of perhaps never seeing Torres in a Chelsea shirt again?

Dropped to 3rd in the pecking order, only 4 league games left plus a few CL ties, this ordeal may already be over.

Simeone says he's in contact with Torres who would love to come home, and that he would be happy for Costa to come here.

If we somehow manage to pull off Costa at a cut price with Torres included we've probably pulled off the biggest heist since that bloke tried to sell the Eiffel Tower.

Torres would need to cut his wages substantially to go back to Madrid.

I also don't think it would knock down the price too much...maybe £10 million if we are lucky.

I hope this happens although let's face it we have been here many times before....

Not sure Inter would take a 2 year loan straight away. Maybe 1 year with an additional year/buy permanent option once the original 1 year is up. Or they may buy straight away.

I do wonder though that if he went back to Atletico the old Torres might return.

Yes.

If it means paying the £10mil to get him off our books so be it.

He is utterly finished as a footballer and needs to get out of here before his rot spreads.

I wouldn't loan him we have way to many players out on loan it's a joke. Just take the hit and get him off the books. I've supported him for long enough but I hope he's gone next season.

Thats one hell of a hit to take. Its said that to buy him out of his contract would cost us 10 million. I cant see anyone actually buying him and I cant see him wanting to leave without a big payout because no one will pay his massive wages.

A loan will get him out of our squad and we will at least get some money towards paying his wages.

I would be shocked if Torres left and joined A.Madrid. The only way i can see it happening is if there is a loan agreement in place with the Costa deal.

Didn't Torres call them "the best fans in the world"? After the 3 years of crap you have given US - you call THEM tbe best fans in the world?

He should be nowhere near the pitch.

Just in case anyone has any vestige of sympathy for our very own chocolate teapot,I think it's timely to put the boot into our sulky, lazy has been
