You've also got to remember that when he does something poor, he gets a lot of stick for it! He was very poor first half but played very well second, not a great performance but a good enough one. Good result, nonetheless.

Drogba went through a bad spell at one point...I heard rumblings of .."get rid of this c**t now" from chelsea fans...Luckily we didnt and , well, the rest is history...Reckon with a slight change to personnel Torres COULD become good again....If not , well then it has to be goodbye next jan

I agree. To be fair though, when he's poor he has more of a negative effect on the team than any one else. The way our team is structured we need someone making a nuisance of themselves at least. Torres has failed to do this on many occasions.

He never went through two seasons of being one of the worst strikers in the Prem. 

Very surprised Torres is starting. He played the whole 90 against Fulham and has to play the whole 90 on Thursday. Might as well sell Ba for all the minutes he gets on the pitch.

i really dont understand how Ba doesnt get a game. not long ago Benitez said torres was struggling because he had been the only striker for so long and was burned out... and yet he doesnt drop him when theres a fitter, better striker waiting in the wings?? clear bias towards torres, picking the team with his heart not his head.

We have a complete fraud of a manager and a complete fraud of no:9. They can't go quick enough. Both of them are damaging our club.

He's been decent of late, I wasn't really surprised in him starting. He shouldnt of lasted 90 mins though, should of been off around 55mins. He was simply non existent.

In 738 minutes for Liverpool in the League Sturridge has scored 6 goals, Torres hasn't scored in the League in 900 minutes.

Totally agree, he expected things to happen today for him. He didn't chase opportunities, when nothing went his way he just had a go at the ref. We've seen way too much of this from him in his Chelsea career.
