Oscar - Little Diamond

Featured Replies

He's a lot better than Oscar is though! 42m in a world where Lukaku is going for double really isn't that bad for a ST either.

Cavani is a striker

Oscar is an attacking midfielder

Maybe If you're drawing comparisons on who holds most skill you have a point.

If Oscar goes we have Jose to thank for a lack of central attacking midfielders after all he didn't want Kevin De Bruyne and he didn't want Juan Mata both whom are better attacking options.

Such a shame, there's a player in there somewhere. It just has come through.

He doesn't really offer us due to his inconsistency. Sell him but only if we get a replacement in.

I don't know if we need to get someone else in as a direct replacement, for the 2 CM slots we would have: Fabregas, Kante, Matic, Mikel, Chalobah & RLC. Sell him and spend the money on defence.

What about a straight swap with Leicester for Mahrez? I think that will be sweet, unfortunately Leicester don't rate him.

Youve been playing too much football manager!

He deserves more time, only 16 judging by his looks and just had his 10th baby. It's hard to juggle football and breastfeeding!

Seriously though he hasn't improved even a little smidgen since joining, he had a place in Jose's team as a defensive 10 but only functioned properly for half a season after Mata left.

Selling Oscar will leave us with no proper number 10, a hint to what kind of formation we'll be playing next season?

Have faith in the kid, Conte should put his arm around him and tell him that if he does not see any improvement over the next few weeks he can leave on deadline day...or January.  I agree he is inconsistent, but who isn't in this side at the moment? he like many others is getting used to what Conte' wants from him and how he wants him to play;  if he goes elsewhere and turns into the player we all thought we were going to see we will be buying him back in a season or two :face_palm:

The difference being that Oscar has never once been consistent with us unlike most of the other players at the club.

Oscar has been here for four years now under four different managers and hasn't improved a single bit. In the last 2 season's i think he has gone backwards.

Oscar was never good, people hid behind his age, just now he's at an age were it can't be an excuse anymore.

I'd call another, Kenedy, if he plays left back he might do allright, but if he's plays left wing for us long term, I'll give it 3/4 years until everyone is as unanimously sick of him as we currently are Oscar.

I've changed the size of the IF for you as Oscar coming good is a very big IF!

You could be right but up to now I like what I've seen from Kenedy and would at least like to see him get some game time over others who have had their chance and now need to be moved on.

Oscar frustrated me but I would have wanted to see if Conte could work some magic with him, and would have given him one more season.

He posed with the kit only days ago on instagram with a caption 'ready for the new season'.

i just hope our replacement will be consistent otherwise pointless selling him. we still haven't replaced ramires with someone better.

Still havent? We sold him last Window lol. And we just brought in Kantè who is a far superior player

Don't ever forget that we sold Mata for that little... diamond? hahahah He can't pass the ball, he can't dribble, always risky challenges cuz he is always late.3/4 of the time he was the worst player on the pitch. I have never been so frustrated about Chelsea player, really. Even Bosingwa wasn't that bad.

1. No improvement

2. Sold potential legend to give him chance

3. Still doesn't speak english

4. The worst player for the most of the time

5. Got no charisma

6. Got no character

The title should be changed. Little piece of s**t. This is what he is. He can only shoot well. Nothing more.

Even after selling Ramires, we were still 2 capable centre mids away from having a solid midfield. matic isn't cutting it at the moment, mikel is reliable but not solid enough, and oscar is oscar. I am happy we got kante, but can we be sure he'll hit it off like he did for leicester? we're all hoping so, but we never know, especially after how the latter part of matic and oscars careers with chelsea have been. I think we're still weak in midfield, and this is an area that needs strengtening along with our defence. I would like chalobah enter the first team squad, and then sign a notably solid b2b mid to put my mind at rest.

The thing is we say this every season and every time we get new manager.

His time is up I think and he can't really complain. His high point was his first ever starting game against Juve. I thought we signed the new Kaka! He never came close to matching that performance.

I'm reading a lot of people saying he is inconsistent. I actually don't agree with that at all because I think he is very consistent - he has one decent game in 6 and mostly that's against a poor team.

Kante? We replaced Ramires with Kante in my opinion.

We replaced Oscar with Batshuayi. We are looking to play 2 up front and Oscar's average-ness forbids him to play as a CM in a 2 man pivot. So dont think Oscar needs to be "replaced"

Perhaps, I agree that match against Juventus was his peak and that was a long time ago.. but it's in there somewhere and maybe Conte can untap it. He's still relatively young. I like how well he can tackle and win the ball high up the pitch. That won't be easily replaced.

What a prick Oscar is, I can't believe he was a key part of a title-winning side who played some of the best football in the history of this club, what a f**king twat.

And to think he hasn't hit his full potential at the age of 24, he should be sold to f**king QPR.

Is this a huge in-joke I've missed somehow? Or have we chosen this thread as the training for some sort of 'The Shed End blooper reel'?
