Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend

Something is wrong but maybe just poor form and lack of real sharpness, he looked off colour for Belgium too apart from cracking goal. Possibly something not right off the pitch?

Anyway, I would put him on the bench sat and give him a rest and time to recharge a bit

When your out of form sometimes better to have a break and not keep ploughing on.

Be brave from Jose, but now is the time to do it b4 CL starts

I would like to see Kenedy and Pedro start on the wings.

Maybe a year of kicking has taken a toll on him, he just didn't like that keen for the ball in the last few games. I'm confident it's just a temporary thing. He's still the best player in our team by far. Not playing a natural left back doesn't help either, with Azpi going in field all the time and unable to cross with his left foot, the left hand side channel is always cloaked up. Opponents were confident in defend narrow and handing us a couple of yard of space on the left touch line, because they knew we can't cross he ball from there.

Perhaps is not very proper of me to post how poor this lad is in something called 'Eden Hazard appreciation thread' but it's preferable to starting a new one.

What the hell happened to Eden? Everybody expected him to build on the last season's success and I genuinely believe he's capable of much more than what we've seen so far. Apparently he's been equally sh*t for the national team despite scoring a goal a few days ago.

Thing is, he's supposed to be a difference maker, the best player who creates something out of nothing when things don't go well. Instead he looks absolutely lost out there.

I don't know what is wrong with him, i don't even see him taking anyone on anymore. We all know he can do more so i don't see why he is holding so much back to be honest. I don't think it's because he is out of form either.

He is supposed to be OUR star player and THE superstar of the Premier League. He just looks lazy and lacking motivation right now though. Or maybe he isn't mentally strong enough like the other past and present great players of the game. Hazard is a very good player, but we all say that he can give more, even when he is performing well we all feel like he can do more. He says he wants to be the best player on the planet, but does he have it in him to be like that ? i'm not so sure he does, he's not a killer on the field from what i have seen.

I remember against Tottenham last season when we were behind and he was playing amazing, that was a motivated Hazard. That Hazard gave everything to the team, that is the Hazard we should be seeing on a regular basis and the one we need to see right now to get us out of this mess. The Hazard we are seeing now looks like he can't be bothered, he looks like he is hiding and great players don't hide.

It looks like a motivational thing for me. Its like he did what he needed to do last season and he can't be bothered to do that all again. Looks tired and disinterested.

Yep, it's a horrible thought but that is what it looks like to me too.

Seems a shadow of his former self unfortunately. During the summer I saw something that made me say he gets better and better, since then he seems to have gone off the boil.

I hope he regains his form.

How can he possibly be tired? To be fair, he's one of many Chelsea players who look tired out there which seems rather odd, given that the season has just started.

Out of form, looking tired, disinterested are symptons, reactions.

Especially in the world of football.

There's always another or a deeper problem.

I really thought after last season this was the year for him to really step up and be a ballon d'or contender or at least cement his position as the best in the league.

Always told anybody who would listen that he was the closest to a player thst could make that step up to the level of a suarez/neymar/bale/messi/ronaldo as in 30+ goals,

Dont think he wil even reach 25 anytime soon which is disappointing, if he had the approach of lampard and work night and day he could have easily done it

Said no one ever..

I seem to recall a certain mr. Mourinho saying it.

Altough he was talking about last season, not in general I think.

For the last few months of last season, at times Hazard was our sole attacking threat. He did literally carry us over the line and without him we would not have won the PL.

Of course you hope players kick-on and keep on improving but it was always going to be hard for Hazard to reach the same heights with little help from team mates. I think the break, the poor pre-season, slight loss of form and then the whole Eva fiasco has all contributed and I have no doubt he is not enjoying his football like he was last season. I'd like to think the coaching staff are working on getting him back to the Hazard of last season, but they have their work cut out with the rest of the squad too!

But if we are to start climbing up that table, we need our most important player to be playing at the top of his game and he currently is nowhere near that.

The media have been quick to jump on Hazard slow start to the season but nobody mentions Sanchez poor start, he has been even worse.

I'm not sure he has been WORSE. He always puts in a shift and has some sort of impact. But definitely a poor start from him.

Hazard Carried us to the title last season especially after Christmas and won Player of the year, the benchmark is higher for him in comparison to Sanchez.
