The point being is that he has no affinity with he club and is not settled. Our only real hope of keeping Hazard is the importance the claub see in him and the affiinity and loyalty he has shown over the years. That indication of the club's value in him may be tested with the continuing Conte saga (somehtign that Hazard has hinted about often enough).

For players like Mbappe would could we possibly offer them. A bang average club struggling to make europe , playing some pretty negative football in a pretty poor atmosphere

Big fan of Eden, but Neymar wasn't really fit this WC, you can't compare them based on this tournament.

You're entitled to your opinion, but watching them both since the beginning of their careers, Neymar is confortably the superior player. Hazard is still world class and our best player by far.

Edit: Yes I know that response is definitely the height of whit, but seriously Neymar is the most overrated premadonna in football, and he isn't nearly good enough to make up for the fact that his personality and lack of team ethic makes everyone else in the team perform worse.

Neymar isn't superior to Hazard in any way, shape or form part from the diving.

Put it like this. If Hazard went to La Liga he would tear that league apart with the standard of defending he'd come up against. If Neymar came to the prem he'd spend 4 months a year 'injured' and wouldn't handle the physicality. Not to mention Hazard currently dominating a World Cup whilst Neymar hid in Coutinho's shadow.

The PL defending isn't much better tbh. Hazard has never been some prolific goal scorer. He will create chances, but he's nowhere near as selfish as Neymar etc. It's probably his worst trait tbh. He should be more unselfish

Its more physical though. All the players need to do is lean in to Neymar and he'd hit the deck. Just look at Morata last season for us. Hazard's best trait is his ability to stay on his feet.

Ronaldo to Juventus confirmed on Guardian, I guess it's either Hazard, Mbappe, Neymar or two out of the three to replace him

I really hope he stays, but at the same time he has always said he would go eventually.  He did show loyalty and stay when we last missed CL football.  So in a way I can understand and could accept him going to Madrid.  Not as if he's looking for highest wage, he's always said Madrid.  £££ plus Bale would be a good deal for us.

After an inconsistent season, maybe Madrid will see Salah or Sane as a better option.  Hope so. 

I'm not saying they're better players, just a better season overall.
