I think he wants to play in a more attacking team than anything else.

it will be interesting whether he will put up great numbers in an attacking side. it just seems for me, he's too unselfish with all the ability he has. players in similar positions have that extra hunger for goals. if he can change that mindset then fantastic, but until then he will continue to be the belgian isco.

Totally agree with that, he needs to become selfish and arrogant like Ronaldo Infront of goal.

I don't think he should, he's not a great finisher so him starting to shoot from speculative angles to pad out his tally like Ronaldo does would be counterproductive and make him a much lesser player regardless of how many more goals he gets.

He gets in the teens every season which is excellent when you factor in everything else he does.

It just really wouldn't surprise me if he has chatted with Dries Mertens whilst he is away about Sarri and the style of football, and now we see umming and ahhing comments about his future perhaps with the intention of making the board's collective ar$e$ pout and make them act to make sure that we keep Hazard on board.

I kind of hope this is the case as well as it makes me think that Hazard would be excited by the prospect of Sarri joining, which must surely mean a more expansive, attacking style of football.

Of course he's talked to him, look at Mertens number's before and after Sarri and you can see why he wants to play under Sarri

More hazard to real rumours today. Hazards dad apparently told madrid before the champions league final that Eden wanted to go there. 

Possibly bs, probably not given his dad's previous comments.

I really don't want him to go, but I can understand if he did. 

There is talk of mbappe being on the market since psg can't afford him because of ffp. So there is hope that Real sign either mbappe or neymar instead. 

If he does want madrid, then I hope we fleece them. Personally I would be okay with isco + €100m, as long as we bought another quality player, like dybala or perhaps even mbappe if the rumours are true. 

Its going to an interesting 6 weeks, which could shape us as a club for next 5 years.

I think it's becoming obvious we won't be able to sign guys like Mbappe or Dyabla anymore especially if we are having to sell our best player.

We simply don't have the clout anymore to do these sorts of deals and seem hell bent on adhering to FFP and being self sustainable (no bad thing) meaning the days of bringing in players for £100 million on 150-200k  a week will not be happening.

I'd make him captain next season. 

Seems to be doing well as captain with Belgium. Would certainly make him at least Vice-Captain behind Azpi if he stays.

Isn't Zidane that wanted him at Real?  He is now gone and the people in charge there are the ones who reportedly didn't want Hazard.  Hopefully Real look elsewhere for talent.  

And if we let Hazard go without even attempting to get him involved in attacking football while he was here it will be a huge waste.  Get an attacking manager, let go of our best attacking player...

Look Guys n Gals lets give Hazard a chance, all this speculation isn't going to end till his world cup is eventually run and we show our hand, he has stated numerous times he wants to see what our big plans for the season are, so lets all calm down (including me) enjoy him being probably player of the tournament so far (including HKane) and see what develops

They say that Hazard will reject an offer of £340000 per week in order to join Real Madrid...If that happens I will forgive him but I will be very sad if he lose him.

There aren't a shortage of players who want to go to Real. This will always be a problem for every club. The best we can do is play hardball and hope Eden enjoys life under Sarri which leads him to stay. With 2 years left on his contract there's no reason to panic.

This is one of the few times I'm glad that we have Marina as a negotiator. If they want him, they'll need to pay a premium.

It would be horrible to see him go, though i won't blame him if he decided to leave. He joined us because we won the Champions League. He is most likely win it with Real.

I'm torn with Hazard as he is without doubt our most talented player yet he lacks the skills and physical presence to play in a front two successfully.

Why does it matter if he can't play in a front 2? We won 2 league titles with him play in front 3. 

I doubt we will use a front 2 next season at all if sarri comes in.

I'm expecting Sarri too, my point is sometimes we lack real genuine pace and when Hazard gets the ball he often slows it down. Giround although good in other areas is not the quickest either.

I'm not knocking either player, Giroud did really well for us last season and Hazard is probably the best dribbler in Europe and a good finisher in the box.

Typical @ss of the English media, writing up a story of Hazard offered himself to Real during the week of the big England vs Belgium game. Let's say there are some truth in the story, how is his father going to offer him to Real? He's not in charge of Chelsea transfer, can't make a deal on behalf of the club, and Real doesn't need his seal of approval to make a bid. Hazard is interested in Real mainly because of Zidane, and he's gone.

I just wonder if Sarri will want to weigh hazard in, and get the very best price he can, and build a team in his vision, i love Hazard to death, but he plays at the pace he feels, i also said i think he is best suited for Barca if he leaves us, slow slow slow then explode, or Sarri can unlock his potential Messiesque potential.

It's a good question, I also think should he go Barca would be a better fit yet strangely think he would prefer Real Madrid.

He looks like a Real-type signing but would probably fit better at Barca but I doubt Barca could afford having 2 inside forwards that does the minimal in tracking back.

So apparently we've saved £3mil with this whole drawn out Sarri saga. Give that £3m to Hazard as a signing on bonus and pray he stays.
