Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend

Featured Replies

Got to admit I was totally wrong about Hazard. When he first joined, i expected him to bolt off to Madrid after a couple of good seasons.

Pleasantly surprised by his comments and I’m starting to think he’s going to stay here for most of his career now.

Lovely.

City and others will have looked at our two failings post winning the league, and know that you have to keep the team fresh and hungry with one or two signings each season. I know if I was a rival coach or board member, I would be stressing this point a lot and would be saying "look at chelsea!"

City themselves have been guilty of complacency after a title win. Infact with the exception of United in 2011, no Champion has really kicked on this decade.

If he was from South America I believe he would have. Seeing as he's Belgian, it's a lot less likely. Not saying he wouldn't want to. Almost every player dreams of playing for Real Madrid or Barcelona, it's just natural.

One of the top 5 players to ever play for Chelsea. Only JT, Lamps and Didier ahead of Eden. Just a few days ago some (i know just a few but still) were questioning his legendary status at the club. If this is his last game for Chelsea I'm happy to see him leave on a high. Shame we never built a truly top quality team around him or employed the right type of (attacking) manager post 2012/Eden Hazard era to build something truly special.

We can only imagine what could have been if Hazard had played alongside the likes of A young Didier and Lamps, Ballack, Robben, Essien and so on.

We'd have been unstoppable. I'm not even joking. Put Hazard in that team and i don't think even Ferguson's team with Ronaldo would have stopped us.

Feels like hazard is really throwing down the gauntlet to the board. Get me more top players and I’ll stay forever. Just hope the board can manage it. Feel like we need a statement transfer this summer just to show we’re still meaning business going forward. Not convinced we will without champs league though.

About time really. The players want to go out and dominate games after seeing Man City do it. Must be infuriating to watch for them.

According to the BBC paper gossip today, Pep is making Hazard his number one transfer target, ready to break transfer record to land him for £100m.

I'm resigned to him leaving this summer and I don't blame him but, if we sell him to City, regardless of the fee, I'm out. I'll just follow my local non-league side if I want a football fix.

If we sold Hazard to City, I would expect the crowds and wait for a season ticket at Craven Cottage to rocket overnight.
