I'll be surprised if we get more than 100 million with a year left on his contract.

Smart move would be to get a replacement in Jan who can get us over the 4th place line. That way come summer if he decides to leave, we don’t get exploited and we have a top player in place for attracting other talents. 

Call me mad but would have taken anything over £150m last summer. Can’t see us getting anything over £80m, and will be surprised if Madrid go over £50m if Hazard digs his heels in like Courtois.

Maybe it would be a ridiculous business decision, but I'd just keep him until his contract expires and let him leave on a free if that's what he wants. He'll be 29 by the and we'd have had his best years. Also, if we're playing fantastic football next season and challenging in all comps (including the champions league) I think he'll end up signing a new contract.

I love hazard, he's one the my favourite chelsea players ever to watch, but speaking about madrid every 4 weeks is becoming really tiresome. 

Just get your head down and give us a fantastic season, then if you want to go, stick a transfer request in at the end of the season.

If he goes, it will be a big loss, but the club goes on, and plenty of teams have lost their best player, and actually had a better team the following season. 

Marina has gotten some pretty good deals for outgoing players, so I don't see him leaving on cheap despite having a year left, hopefully we get a player or 2, if madrid can't meet the asking price.

Interesting stat and makes Sarri's earlier comment about Hazard having the possibility of being the best in Europe look more realistic:

The least he could do is sign a new contract so we could have cashed in on him, if he won’t then we will take a big hit and should have sold him last summer, I’d happily take Bail plus 60 million just to get this sh*t over with, and an option to buy kovacic as well.

Bail? For real? He is past it and has been for along time and too injury prone........we could use that Cash much better elswhere.

Bale just doesn't play enough games to warrant the wages he would demand. I would rather asensio or isco.

Just not a viable pick for me........Isco would be better. Dont be surprised if city gets him, he will be their new silva.

I'm not sure city would push that hard for isco with how well bernardo silva has played this season. Also if it was part of the a deal for hazard, it would put us in a very strong position.

Agree we could have inserted a clause stating he could go to Madrid if an offer over £120m comes in. Might sound crazy but I would sell him in Jan. Before anyone get on my back, he has been playing this game of chicken with the club for what 18mths now? Hypothetically the club gives him till Jan 1st to sign a new contract, if he doesn’t transfer list him. That way 3 top teams will come in with bids around £80m+, and Madrid will be forced to show their hands. 

Wait till the summer and he will make it crystal clear he is only going to Madrid. With 1 year left, we will be lucky to get over £50m for him (see Courtois). Unless the club intends to make him see out his last year, we will be at Madrid’s mercy come summer. Funny thing is I feel he is probably 4th choice behind Neymar, Mbappe & Kane for Madrid.  

We sell Hazard, we can say goodbye to a top 4 finish.

He will be 28 at the end of this season, I feel just a little too old for Madrid at least at a big fee though PSG might come knocking.

I also feel don't sell him mid season as the rails could come off our season.

Give him an ultimatum come end of May that we will strengthen and he might not play so often unless he commits.

While obviously keeping Hazard would be the best option, Isco and cash would be an awfully nice consolation prize

I think he's too settled. His family are happy in London and he's extremely popular at the club.

I hope so too and it's just a ploy to get the board to spend on decent players

I meant the other Silva.....he is getting old and Isco would do nicely in his place.......city get whom ever they wany anyway, they stack quality on top of quality every damn season.

He would have signed the new and improved contract by now if he had decided already. There is literally more money on the table that he can grab whenever he wants, the fact that he hasn't tells a lot.

He's asked the club to show ambition in the transfer market and i don't think he's satisfied with who we have bought. He also wants to have a real go at the CL and we are years away from competing with the big boys in Europe.

Last five attackers we have spent money on for him to play with are: Morata, Giroud, Michy, Pedro and Falcao.
I wouldn't be happy with that if i were as good as Eden Hazard and should be fighting with the best teams in Europe.

Ramos will be 33, Modric 34, Marcelo 32, Benzema 31, Bale 30.

Not to mention the likes of Isco & Asensio are unhappy with playing time already.

He should have gone to Madrid a few years ago. If he moves there now, it will be a big mistake.

Yes they are, but its a major chance for Hazard to become their new star player. Ronaldo left a vacuum they haven't dealt with yet and i am not sure Hazard would be able to resist that temptation.

But who knows, we'll see in the summer. Unfortunately Real Madrid will get him for a cut-down price as well if he does leave.

Starting to love him more than my family, it's got to that stage

So - I was thinking. What is everybody's opinion on Chelsea bringing back Thorgan Hazard ? Maybe the chance to play in the same team with his brother may help Chelsea make Eden sign a new contract ? Also - It adds another Winger option making Willian expendable and Thorgan will be cheaper than Pulisic ? 

I have not been following Thorgans play in the Bundesliga but he seems to be linked with Bayern, Liverpool et all.
