Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend

he seems to like the club so i can't see him moving in the immediate future. i think its cynical for all of us to think he is desperate for a move to Barca/Madrid. he's amazing. has everything to become the dominant player in the league. when he inevitably goes to madrid or barcelona we'll be able to say 'he played for us'.

to think people didn't want him because he was a bit of a tease on twitter.

Those Spanish teams that got a lesson in football by the German side we beat last year? Just saying  Hazard will be here a long time and probably become another club legend ::ChELSeAFaN::

Mata and Hazard are first and second in assists respectively in the league.  Their partnership has really developed into a sight to behold.  Hazard's first season has been magnificent IMO and he's really come into his own towards the end of the season.  No doubt that he's going to become one of the world's greats, especially with Mourinho here.

I wish he'd stop trying to play like Mata and run with the ball more often though.  He can run through defences unlike anyone else on our roster and when he gets going he seems to be untouchable.

Watching us struggle even with Hazard and Mata on the field makes me wonder how we ever coped with Malouda and Kalou.

It is a little hard to understand...

That's what has confused me most this season...on paper, we have a very, very good team. Great keeper, good defence, solid midfield, amazing attacking midfield, average attack. Cech, Hazard, Mata are world class for their positions, and many other are top professionals. I can only hope that it's a case of being one or two key position players, and a new manager with new tactics away from getting the whole team to suddenly click, and operate as a unit. If that happens, I imagine those games, which we drew, or lost in embarrassing fashion, will be few or far between as the team starts playing with more aptitude and confidence.

It's possibly a class DM and ST that we are missing at this point. I don't think Mikel is terrible by any means, but I don't know if it's enough. Clearly our strikers aren't acceptable, but part of that has to be down to the tactics. They can go a whole game and pretty much not touch the ball, and that's not good enough.

Hopefully if Jose comes, with a couple of shrewd signings, and an extra year under the belt of Hazard, Oscar, Azpi, Moses etc...we will see a more complete team.

My first season thoughts on Hazard are as follows.

I really didn't know what to expect from him as I hadn't seen him play at all, only you tube clips which can make even Heskey look good. His start was tremendous, running at teams was something I felt we had lost, directness, but on the floor. A little bit of a quiet period, followed by an excellent end to the season. His balance, pace, close control are sensational. I love when he justs gets the ball and takes players on, he generally beats them or draws a foul, either way its yards gained and the team on the front foot. His defensive duties have improved, he tracks back more now and he really could prove to be an absolute star for us in the next few seasons. I don't want to liken him to anyone because he is his own man, but he definately of late reminds me of someone.

All in all I'm delighted we have him, Utd fans can try and convince themselves that Kagawa was better value and a better player. Sorry lads its like trying to convince themselves that they are not sick over Moyes joining them instead of Mourinho, which they mostly wanted.

Another awesome Eden Hazard video, man I love this guy.

Eddie's awesome, shame about the video, though. What a mess! Someone posted a Lampard video edited to the same song in another thread and it was so much better.

Hazard has been excellent for the most part this season. I find it utterly laughable that non-Chelsea fans were beginning to suggest that "he's not that good". Well to that, I say B*llocks. For his first season Hazard has already shown his incredible talent and will only improve from here. I feel that he's only scratched the surface of his full potential. I firmly believe that in 2 or so years Hazard will be referred to as one of the best players in the world.

Definitely, agree with the post as a whole. I've been saying that an investment in those two positions plus a CB, with the return of our loanees, will see us right up there challenging for silverware.

we've played against man u 4 times this season. weve been the better side in each and every game. theres no denying the quality is there

That is sort of worrying at the same time. Our guys really stepped up in those ManU games. Why not against QPR? We need Jose and we need a guy like Terry who will not rest in any game or think this is easy.

Anyway we are a whole new team compared to last season. It just takes time to click.

I think he'll be considered the second best player in the world very soon, barring injury. Like Messi, and unlike Ronaldo, he plays with humility, playing for the team, that's what i love about him, he's not a show pony nor a diva, he is a team player and that's his most important quality. He is lucky to be playing alongside Mata, because Mata has the intelligence, vision, subtlety and technique needed to get the best out of him, in the same way Xavi and Iniesta complement Messi. You give those guys a top drawer striker to play with and, with Jose at the helm, I just don't see how anyone* will stop us.

* I'm sure Roman will find a way though, just you watch.

Which is what I was trying to say. We have players with a lot of quality, but clearly this season we were missing something to allow us to consistently get results. A bit of steel in the middle, and clutch goals perhaps.

It's impossible for a team to win every game, but with the talent in the team, we shouldn't have dropped as many points as we did. So I just hope the new manager, and new signings allows the team to take the next step, and gains a capability to see out a game, or win ugly, in addition to the fantastic football we sometimes offered this season.

A decent manager?

Actually, it's Five times, but I agree with your point.

No 2 ways about it our most skilfull player by a country mile apart from mata but he got pace as well. Don't worry mate his brother is better. And piazon is on the same stamp. We got to bring them back.
