December 4, 201312 yr I've been calling for him to take players on in most games but didn't know until tonight that he just didn't want to make them look silly.
December 4, 201312 yr I said during the summer break, Hazard could be like our Messi, needs consistency and more belief in his ability, cos the guy is unplayable, as right footed as LM is left, but boy can EH play footie he makes the game look like le tissier or Zola used to, Eaaaasyyyyyy....

I said it was like watching Messi tonight and i stand by that, he was bitching I just hope we don't see performances like this every so often, i want this to be a regular thing and i see no reason why it shouldn't.
December 5, 201312 yr A year ago i remember there was this whole thing, who got the better player Man U in Kagawa or Chelsea in Hazard . . . How was that even a discussion? Edited December 5, 201312 yr by Lane
December 5, 201312 yr Hazard was outstanding today, no doubt about that. We need him to keep that up, were it not for him we would have lost today.
December 5, 201312 yr Would love to see a compilation video of clips of Hazard vs Sunderland, I think they regularly get made for Hazard if anyone has a link.
December 5, 201312 yr Woof! His close control is one of the best I have ever seen at Chelsea. Honestly FC, his close control is some of the best I have ever seen, adjectives used like Poise, Balance, Agility, Technique, Skill, Acceleration, Power, summed up simply as Eden Hazard.
December 5, 201312 yr Robben used to do some pretty special stuff when running full tilt too but he was one of the most one footed players I have ever known. The thing with Eden is, like Robben he can do things whilst running at full speed but what I think makes him better and more unpredictable than Robben is that he is more than comfortable being on both feet and more importantly is more than happy to shoot with either foot as well.

More important than all of that, he's far more intelligent and far more of a team player, although Robben has improved in that area the last 2 years.
December 5, 201312 yr More important than all of that, he's far more intelligent and far more of a team player, although Robben has improved in that area the last 2 years. And he's not a lightweight and injury prone... And he has more hair and a better beard.... And a more shapely derriere.
December 5, 201312 yr A year ago i remember there was this whole thing, who got the better player Man U in Kagawa or Chelsea in Hazard . . . How was that even a discussion? It was mainly United fans, they have gone very quiet on that one now though. I think Kagawa is good but people would be mad to think United got the better deal.
December 5, 201312 yr Hazard has been a bit frustrating at times since he joined us but last night he was unbelievably good. Seeing him perform like that, is why football is so popular and why people will part with hard earned cash to watch it. You would never tire of watching Hazard in that kind of form, ripping the opposition defence to shreds and having the end product to match. As others have said, just hope last night is a sign of things to come as he has been fairly hit and miss this season but when he is in that kind of form, he is our match winner.
December 5, 201312 yr Whatever he had for dinner last night, can Jose make sure he eats it again please?
December 5, 201312 yr On one hand it was amazing to see him play like that. Watching him last night (highlights) made me think he could be our Messi or Ronaldo. BUT on the other hand it made me a little sad. The reason is because last night we saw what he can do but we dont see him play like that week in week out. He clearly has got the skill to be mind blowingly good but he doesnt play that way each time he plays for us.
December 5, 201312 yr Yep, we see that about 1 in 10 games. Not anywhere near consistent enough, but hopefully that improves.
December 5, 201312 yr What we saw Hazard do last night was something out of this world. He made the Sunderland defense look like utter mugs, at one point they dedicated THREE people to marking him and he still f**ked their sh*t up. Also, I don't think that performance and Juan Mata's return to the team is a coincidence...
December 5, 201312 yr we all know his ability, its his mentality that needs to be developed. hes still a young guy and over the next couple of years performances like last nights will become more and more common. how often was ronaldo that good when he was eden's age? so excited to see how good this boy can become!
December 5, 201312 yr I f**king love Hazard! Favourite player on the team for definite. Whilst Mata has been our best player for the past two seasons, I still thought that Hazard had more potential. He will be our Ronaldo hopefully. The chemistry between those two is sublime though. I like his energy and change of pace which people struggle against. However, to make a comment -- unlike Ronaldo, Hazard gets involved in the build up play, which means that he'll struggle to get goals as he'll generally be playing in front of defenders even if he's between the lines, so he could become, either more direct (unlikely since Mourinho wants a possession style) or play him in the middle behind the striker or as a striker (not likely either lol) if we want Ronaldo consistency. Sure he'll develop into a top player regardless though. Edited December 5, 201312 yr by MANoWAR
