Well that's a shocker 

 

He's realised the haircut has worked for Moses so he'll give it a try and see if it'll help revive his career. 

Willian was by far our best player last season, but Pedro is truly on fire and our most consistent winger. If we want to maintain the high level of football next season it is crucial to have a big bench and players fighting for their spot. If we keep them both for next season i will be very happy. Hopefully he steps up and makes it a bit harder for Pedro so they motivate each other for the good of the team.

I really don't see much gametime for Willian, if we want to continue improving. The obvious upgrade would be Sanchez, if Arsenal don't get him to sign a new contract. That would make a sale of Willian very likely, because I don't think Willian will accept beeing third choice. 

Conte has also switched to 3-5-2 several times during our games this season, recently against West Ham. I wouldn't be suprised if Conte are looking to bring in a world class central midfielder and another striker to make more use of that formation next season.

Yep agreed.  We need to add players to strengthen the squad, not sell and replace with theoretically better players.

That's looking more unlikely each day anyway, unfortunately. 

Good players shouldn't be scared of other good players in their position.  They should relish it.

I think with some work from Conte he can be the dream in-house upgrade on Moses playing RWB.

It will be much easier to find a transfer target to play on the right of the front 3 than a RWB.

Why? It's not impossible to have Hazard, Sanchez, Willian and Pedro in the same team. Will help us rotate properly for next season, seeing as we might play 60+ matches. I believe it's possible to still keep Willian fairly happy despite it being a World Cup year. Brazil's coach loves him and he'll be picked regardless.

This season was good for Willian, I think he did the job when he came off the bench and did the job when he started. He also loves the club, so there is no reason to see him leaving. It's always great to have a player like him with us.

I have been happier with Willian this season more than i have in any other season since he joined us. I think he's been more effective as a squad player being rotated with Pedro.

Also scored more than last season despite playing less games.

Same. I wasn't unhappy with him last season, but I try not to think too much about anyone's performance last year if I'm honest 

There's probably a lot to be said for a bit of competition, and Pedro has definitely provided that this season, along with Conte occasionally only going with the two attackers. I personally really like him anyway, his directness is something defenders hate, he loves to carry the ball out from midfield, and he's generally pretty good at. As an 'impact sub' later in the game, or in a rotation with someone else, I think he's a great player to have. And as we all know, he hates Tottenham, so he can't be all bad. That 'brushing the champions badge' thing he did in the Battle of the Bridge game last year was brilliant

EHHHHHH, too bad he's capped for Brazil. Does he count as homegrown if he becomes English?

Homegrown = Needs to have spent 3 seasons in England by the age of 21. 

 

How long does it take for someone like Willian to get a British citizenship anyway? Didn't Mikel just get his last October? And he was with us for 10 years.

I was thinking of Dier, who from what I remember spent his entire youth career in Portugal but I forgot he doesn't count as homegrown. 

Couple of rumours going round that Barca are after him now that they have given up on Coutinho.

If it got anywhere near the price they are willing to pay for Coutinho then i'd be knocking on Leicesters door for Mahrez.

Truthfully, anything in the £50m+ region I think we'd consider it.

I think there's players out there who are obtainable who we could get in.

That said, can't see it happening.
