Ramires - anyone else frustrated?

Featured Replies

All the best Rambo, I will never forget Barca - The most underrated goal in history,  Franks pass and your finish .. if that was Iniesta and Messi the football world would still be drooling

Thanks for everything Rambo. Specially that goal at barca and the one against the scousers in the cup final.

and against the spuds in the semi soon after they got one back

Great servant to the club, played a key role in a lot of our recent successes.

Wish him well with the rest of his career.

Good move by the club, the midfield needed freshening up, hopefully RLC gets more chances between now and the end of the season, don't think we need an immediate replacement in this window.

Thank you for all you've done with us for the last 6 years, Rambo.

You might not be one of our most talented players in recent years but you've always been someone who would work tirelessly in each game.

I'll never forget that goal you scored in Barcelona.

Farewell and all the best in your future endeavours.

Personally glad he's gone to be honest.

Me too. I mean, a fantastic servant, always gave everything, always had a smile on his face, won everything, no drama and never a peep from him if he wasn't starting.

Good riddance!!  :face_palm:

Paid his £18m fee with one glorious chip...that goal set a high he never came close to reaching again and he was just a useful squad player in the end, with a frightening inability to make a simple pass to a team-mate...but he's made us a good profit, made a contribution for over five years, so despite all his faults, you can't argue he wasn't a success

Yes he always gave everything, just don't think I've ever been more frustrated with a Chelsea player in recent years. Almost always gave the ball away. Yes fair enough he scored a few belters but I don't think he offered enough overall to the team.  Won't miss him a bit.

Great servant to the club. It's impossible to overstate how important "that" goal was, we were completely out of the tie before that. Add in the city goal, fa cup final goal and some other great goals aswell and the fact hw won absolutely everything with us. I think his form over the last year or so is skewing some people memory of him, he was a very good and important member of the squad for a long time.

Wish him all the best, just disappointed he's wasting the rest of his career in China.

I've got a feeling that he'll be back playing in Europe before he retires. I wouldn't be shocked if he was back in Europe before he turns 30, to be honest.

Best of luck rambo. Sad to see him leave but it's a fantastic price for a player that hasn't really kicked on.

Great memories though, especially the goal at the nou camp, the assist for Drogs in the home leg, and the goal against Liverpool in the fa cup final.

I agree. I think we should save our money for some world class players in the summer and give RLC his chance now.

Is anyone else also missing Super Frankie again after all this talk about ''that goal''?

Good luck Rambo

Have to admit I am totally baffled by the move to play in China ? It's like he is starting his retirement early ..........must be on a very impressive contract ...

Exactly, how difficult is i to show a bit of respect for a player that won every single trophy available while with us, and played a major part in them all.

Good luck Rambo

The last Chelsea player that didn't want to go when Chelsea were trying to shift him ended up having to train with the U21s. Malouda.

Not saying it's definitely the same situation, but if Chelsea want you out, you don't get much of a choice.

Thanks for everything Rambo, this has come quite suddenly, but if he felt he could get a great contract at this point of his life, then best of luck to him.

Great servant.

One of those players who never let you down, didnt cause any grief & scored some important as well as class goals, but how could we turn down that much money for him?

On a different note Ramires gave a school in Epsom £1,000 for new kits & equipment for their football teams(sure i posted about it on here at the time) that came about after he asked a dad while watching a kids match if he knew of any teams that needed help.

The fella was a class act.
