His goal against Barcelona is unforgettable. He wasn't one of our best players, but gave his 200% every game and worked hard for the team and for that he deserves positive history in our club. Thanks for everything Rambo, good luck!

RLC already seemed to be ahead of Ramires in Guus' game plan before he left, so I'm not sure if this transfer will impact Ruben's playing time. 

Good deal for all sides, there's no way we would receive more than 10M if we sell him to a European club. For Ramires, he has won it all in England, if he wants an easier life and more $, good on him! He gave us some awesome highlights to remember, like the goals against Barcalona and City. In the end, he never really capitalised on his skills, or the lack of skills. The current style doesn't suit him, I don't think we will miss him much to be honest. Agree with most of this, but I think we will miss his speed and energy. Could be a liability at times, but he can look back on a great few years at Chelsea, and some of his heroic contributions are -and will always remain - the stuff of legend.

I am actually a little upset with his exit

He was inconsistent but you always knew he will put a shift in.

Regardless of his performances he will be remembered in history for that goal against Barca.

Remember all the merciless stick he (and Ivan and Meireles) took for putting on their full kit despite being suspended for the final in Munich?

Don't get me wrong, I liked Ramires and he was a handy squad player but as I mentioned in one of the other threads - we have too many squad players and not enough match winners. I'm all for Ramires leaving and freeing a place up in the squad for one of the youngsters to take their chance, so as much as I liked him, I won't miss him.

 

He had THAT goal against Barca which can never be taken away and I was gutted for him that he was banned for the final. But his passing was dreadful - he literally gave the ball away more than anyone and he had that nasty streak which meant he was always in danger of seeing red.

 

So long Ramires - wish him all the best.
