Featured Replies

latest report from here is that the MLS and Chelsea are still negotiating the transfer of drogba , MLS (whos in charge of all the contracts in their league ) dont wont  to let drogba go and he would have to retire as a player first to go to chelsea

One of the finest drivers of a combine harvester I've ever had pleasure of watching.

The way he collected those crops and the free roles he gave to all of the pigs and chickens was revolutionary at the time.

And for much of his career he did it alone, without the help of either a dutiful wife or lucrative supermarket contracts.

Plus he did it over multiple seasons. Spring, and summer sure. But don't forget autumn. Even winter!

A legend in his field.

Agreed. Cemented his Legend status when he invented genetically modified crops when people like Graham Turnip Taylor said it could never be done.

He was the best we will ever see at using the fallow field ploy.

Only regret is he never got the chance to work his magic in the Italian agricultural system. I am certain he would he would have changed them from primary tomato and olive production to potatos and leeks.

"Reports on the future of Didier Drogba have gone quiet over the past few days, with Montreal

Impact seemingly taking the line that a contract is

a contract. Progress may yet be made to allow

Drogba to join up with Guus Hiddink at Chelsea,

but things are now less certain than they

appeared last week.

However, Spain's El Confidencial have an

interesting snippet in a Wednesday article about

Pep Guardiola, saying Drogba will next year take

up a sport management role at Chelsea, like a

director of football.

It's claimed Drogba wanted to bring back Carlo

Ancelotti next season to work under him, but

can't because the Italian is committed to Bayern

Munich. The next choice is Pep Guardiola,

although that will be difficult too.

We have no idea if the claims are correct or not,

but it could be a stroke of genius if Drogba were

to return in such a capacity. It would allow the

Chelsea legend to return to the club long term,

and not be restricted to working with a single

manager who, let's face it, could be gone quickly.

Drogba has gravitas and is respected throughout

the football world, he'd be a more high profile

figure than technical director Michael Emenalo

and has built up a good relationship with owner

Roman Abramnovich." - Sport Witness
