March 3, 201511 yr Chelsbear, Of course we've been poor in Europe but then you could argue Chelsea have been severely underperforming in the league since the Ancelotti days, It works both ways, Also what does filling your ground have anything to do with football? The Emirates has empty seats. I'll admit it, We're a small club for the locals and proud, and that's the way I hope it stays, I'd puke if the Etihad was full to the rafters in a few years but there wasn't a stone island jacket in sight, Doesn't that make us have more soul than a big club who can fill their stadium? Whatever the meaning of a club having a soul is btw. I honestly don't know why I'm entertaining a twitter generation football fan, 'Ooh my club is bigger than yours, We managed to make an annual profit in our turnover this year whereas you had a loss of £20 million so suck on that', I thought that's what we accused Arsenal fans of being? Caring too much about the off the field stuff as opposed to on it.
March 3, 201511 yr Kinkladze two questions - What is your opinion of Pellegrini? Do you not think if you come second this year that he deserves to stay on given what he won last season? - Would you have Mancini back if Pellegrini were to be sacked? I know it's not likely but just a genuine questions
March 3, 201511 yr All the fans I have seen interviewed outside the ground on those fanzone things come out with some absolute rubbish regarding what’s going on and it’s the same in the phone ins/forums. There is what seems a large section who seem to spit the dummy when thing are not going well. Look at the Liverpool game and the outrage that came out against Pellegrini from the fans, he won a title and a cup in his first season while only 5 points behind with more than 10 games to go yet you get these rants about him having to go and his style is not working etc etc. The one wobble since he won the title and folk get the knives out, it’s crazy. CL wise it has struck me ever since City got there a few years back that they just don’t seem bothered with it, big gaps in the crowds and an atmosphere that would make Arsenal look like Palace fans. That’s just the way it comes across to me.
March 3, 201511 yr City sell out pretty much every home game and have done so for as long as I can remember, they are a well supported club. Whether or not people turn up however is another matter but the demand is there, hence the expansion. Well go on then...I'll just need to remind you of the laughably poor nights in European games at City. Can't even fill a ground tell's it's own story too... And I shouldn't have to remind you that we also didn't have great attendances during our first few years as regulars in Europe, same with Arsenal and United before us. March 3, 201511 yr Bobby, I don't think he deserves to stay because he's not a quick learner, and let's be honest last years title should not have been won by us given the circumstances, Liverpool should have won the league, So you factor in that and then this years bad campaign, He probably gets a 6/10 on performance. Chelsbear, The reason the knives are out is because he doesn't endear himself to the fans, He lacks personality, When the fans have a manager who lacks personality, You can get on board with him when things are going well but when things go bad, You don't trust him to right the ship, He's no different than a Paul Lambert personality wise, Let's be frank about it. I'll give you the CL comment, Some of our fans have had an imbecilic view of the CL, Mainly because there was an initial obsession of displacing United domestically and in turn that led to a 'f**k what happens in Europe, So long as we beat the Reds to the title or finish above them' mentality. Now that our rivals for the title have changed we've realised there's bigger fish to fry than worrying about the reds, Chelsea have been lucky in that way that they haven't got an obsession with a local rival like we have and vice versa, If Tottenham were in our position I'd see them making the same mistake as their first thought would be to pip Arsenal and who cares about what happens in Europe. How should Liverpool have won it though? End of the day we all play the same teams and your team got the most points hence they deserved to be Champions. Let's say Liverpool's good form had been at the start of that season as opposed to towards the end and let's say you'd have gone on a huge run on wins at the end of the season to win the title instead. Would people then have said Liverpool should have won it? I don't think so.

Would people then have said Liverpool should have won it? I don't think so. Liverpool lost the league by 2 points and managed to drop 5 points in their last 3 games. That includes being 3-0 up against Palace until the 79th minute and coming up against us when they really didn't need much more than a draw. Rodgers's hubris/naivety cost them a league title that they really should have won....which is why it's so funny.
March 3, 201511 yr Pellegrini is a goner if you ask me. If we were further ahead, which we should if it were not for the FA and certain referees, then I'd even wager that'd be gone already.

But point is we all play the same teams so it shouldn't matter when the results go against it for you. It's who gets the most point at the end.

Rodgers's hubris/naivety cost them a league title that they really should have won....which is why it's so funny. The key match was the one against us. Losing it robbed them of their momentum and also led to them going nuts against Palace, trying to win 10-0 to close the goal difference with City. We cost them the league title, which is what really makes it so funny.
March 3, 201511 yr So we have Sean Dyche saying Barnes didn't intend to hurt Matic, Alan Pardew sticking up for Jedinak and now Steve Bruce saying Figueroa didn't mean to catch Ireland. Why can't managers just admit when their players have done wrong ? if these challenges were against their players i guarantee they would be thinking differently. Even Mourinho has done it in the past. If we want these bad challenges to stop then the managers have to start coming down hard on their players. Maybe the managers encourage these kind of challenges, it wouldn't surprise me to be honest.
March 3, 201511 yr Simeone would leave for City that is for sure and although you might find it intriguing to go for Benitez for his record I'm too tired to watch his passionless fat face in the league. Hope he stays another season with Napoli and then goes to America or Australia (far away). I don't see any reason Pep leaving one of the biggest clubs in the planet. If he fails and he is kicked out yes but looks like they'll heading for another good season's ending.
March 3, 201511 yr Benitez at City? Oh please. The only realistic contenders for that job would be Simeone, Guardiola and Ancelotti. The latter two seem unlikely for various reasons but Simeone would really fit the bill for me. City need a manager to implement a more pragmatic style and to give that squad a bit more steel. Simeone would be that man, and I'm 100% sure he'd make them a force in the CL as well.
March 3, 201511 yr Pep wont come to the prem has long has José still here he cant handle the mind games any more.....and besides he,s sh*t scared of him :D
March 3, 201511 yr "Manchester City? I hope to stay at Bayern Munich for a long time," Guardiola said at a press conference. "I have a contract with this wonderful club and aim to fulfil that. I have not received any offers. "We will see what happens after next year. I am very happy at Bayern."
March 3, 201511 yr If Guardiola's got to the stage of denying a move he'll probably be in post next week.
March 3, 201511 yr Simeone at City sounds frightening to be honest. I think he could make them a lot stronger. Pellegrini, to me, seems like a huge softie. That might be down to his old senile looks though. He couldn't punch his way out of a wet paper bag by the looks of it.

Pellegrini did good @ San Lorenzo so I will give him mad props for that right there. Also he did do the Double last year in England. He is no mug Edited March 3, 201511 yr by robdog
March 3, 201511 yr Radio 5 reporting a push n' shove match between Poyet and Bruce as the former was sent to the stands by the ref. My money's on Bruce - you'd stay hit if he connected with you.
