another pearl of wisdom from one the Britain's most progressive thinkers when it comes to football

'For the British Players, especially the younger ones okay... if your in tight spaces use your body ... don't give the ball away okay.... if he kicks it out then we've won a throw in'

The club leaking stuff and Rodgers talking about his contract was massively unprofessional so he does have a point.

Some might think it's him showing attitude, acting like a thug or something but if they have an employer then they'll understand how unprofessional stuff like this is.

I also think he sees the writing on the wall at Liverpool and wants out. It's a sensible move.

My comment was solely in reference to the 'not being protege my negative press' part. To be honest I completely missed the bulling bit.

of course these statements about feeling bullied are what his agent is putting out....wait til he winds up at a CL club and he'll be saying he wanted to win trophies / work with a proper manager / play in a decent atmosphere / join a big club etc etc

haha this one is even funnier

every other word Brenda says is 'okay'

he also says to remember one thing: ' we can only trust ourselves - no one else'

then, contradicting the previous sentence he says  'we can also trust the supporters because they're the best'

then 'You can trust your families at home'

This is the best they could find to advertise the DVD ? Brendan must be worse than i thought he was :laugh2:

It's just getting better and better :laugh2:

Don't forget, everything he learned he learned from Jose.

But having seen those clips I'm thinking that Jose taught him a pile of crap just for a laugh.

Just heard Tony Pulis' interview on talksport

touch of class from him but I still think he needs to stay away from the full West Brom tracksuit with the puffer jacket and the baseball cap

Raheem Sterling advised by team-mates to leave Liverpool to fulfil his potential

Ha ha, uh oh, they all want out. Rightly so.

"get out Raheem while you have the chance"

lol - it's like a bad movie.

Liverpool fan I was talking to at the weekend wanted Rodgers out and a manager with a proven European record in and 2 or 3 marquee signings - in your dreams mate...

I reminded him they have spent £770m since 1990 on 190 players in vain attempts to win the Premier League.

FSG will hate any relaxation of FFP because they don't want to invest their own money in players, apparently they have only spent an average of £8m per season on new players from their own resources, the rest of the expenditure has been funded through club revenue and player sales.

What makes Sterling saying he wants to leave even funnier is that he has probably used Gerrard as a perfect example to justify wanting to leave them. Great player, but hasn't won anywhere near as much in his career as he could have won.

apparently James Milner is turning down 165,000 a week from City to join Liverpool

Now if that isn't class, character and integrity I don't know what is.

I'm sure I don't have to worry, but hope we don't go anywhere near that overrated gobsh*te sterling...done fcuk all in the game and acting like he's Messi or something...sure it's funny to see Liverpool get another reminder they are just a feeder club to others these days, but Sterling's attitude stinks as well and clearly not chelsea material...his agent will be angling for move to Real Madrid or barca within a year or two

No offence but there's no real defensive spine with Herrera and Gundogan being the foundation of our midfield, especially with Mata infront. I feel that midfield would get completely walked over and bullied. That's pretty much why we play Fellaini, he adds steel to a lightweight midfield.

A midfield base such as:

Carrick

Herrera Schneiderlin

Or (Muppet mode)

Schneiderlin

Herrera Gundogan

Would ultimately add more balance and steel to our midfield.

I like the look of that defence though, Smalling has really proven himself this season. We all love him down at the caf, he's really established himself as a leader in our defence and he'd be capable of doing Hummels' running; Shaw and Carvajal are great quick, attacking, fullback options, just got to hope Shaw can stay fit.

As for the attacking three, I really cannot envisage us dropping our captain. I honestly feel he's capable of doing a great job for us after a good run of games upfront rather than being dragged to midfield every so and so game. Then we have 'Hamez' Wilson a hot prospect to take over from him. The prospect of Di Maria and Depay on each flank supported by Carvajal and Shaw is mouthwatering though.

My team would be:

Lloris

Carvajal Smalling Hummels Shaw

Carrick

Herrera Schneiderlin

Di Maria Rooney Depay

“For a 20-year-old kid to be taking on Liverpool Football Club over a contract. To the pit of my stomach that just winds me up, it angers me,” Carragher said on Sky’s Monday Night Football.

The lad is from London and he obviously wants to go back home. It might not be about money. It may be about trophies or playing in the Champions League. If it’s about trophies, Liverpool had a chance for a trophy this year, in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley against Aston Villa. Where was Sterling? If you want trophies, they don’t get given to you, you have to earn them, you have to play well in big games. What did Liverpool do in the Champions League? Nothing. What did Sterling do? Nothing.

“To do what he’s done now. There’s nothing worse than that. You keep your mouth shut - get on with playing football.”

I wonder if Carragher would have such a strong opinion if Sterling was playing for anyone other than Liverpool?

Maybe I'm reading too much into those quote but he's seemingly saying that Sterling did nothing in the FA Cup semi or Champions League games so shouldn't be looking to leave?

The contract dispute has been going on for half the season so it's not like Sterling has sprung this on them at the last minute.

He's carried on playing his football and arguably been Liverpool's best player this season. He doesn't want to tie himself to Liverpool for whatever reason and is now looking to open that dialogue with the club now their season is effectively finished.

If anything I think Sterling has handled the situation well.

My team would be:

Lloris

Carvajal Smalling Hummels Shaw

Carrick

Herrera Schneiderlin

Di Maria Rooney Depay

I love Schneider man but he'd play instead of Carrick, not in-front of him.  He's a deep sitting midfielder, a protector.  Something like this would be better:

------------------------- Schneider man ------------------------

-------------------- Pogba ------- Herrera ---------------------

Not going to happen though.  Real Madrid or Man City will get Pogba, Arsenal fancy Schneider Man apparently.
