That Sterling fella would have been quite good but I think he's a little preoccupied at the moment.

Not many young wingers about at the moment thinking about it. Surprised Zaha wasn't called up in truth.

Would've been good to have Sterling and Ox in there. Or Izzy.

Harry Kane and Bamford or Kane and Ings?

Or Berahino. 4 strikers, only 1 winger I think (Redmond).

Kane obviously needs to start, could see a 433, maybe Bamford on the right-wing. Fortunately we've got Southgate in charge so I'm sure the tactics will be spot on.

The spine is pretty decent when you think about it...

Butland, Dier, Stones, Hughes, RLC, Kane

Not English but I'd imagine this team would be good to watch in the Summer.

Hoping to see what that Bettinelli kid is like if we're in for him.

Plus you've got Chambers who I rate, but I'd have Chalobah and Ward-Prowse in over Hughes though. Never been that struck by him and Chalobah had him in his pocket in that last match.

Would love to see a Loftus-Cheek and Chalobah pivot.

England  squad announced for the 2015 European Under-21 Championship.

Looks pretty strong, Loftus-Cheek, Bamford and Chalobah included out of the Chelsea boys.

Harry Kane included but no Luke Shaw which is a little disappointing

Goalkeepers

Marcus Bettinelli (Fulham), Jonathan Bond (Watford), Jack Butland (Stoke City)

Defenders
Calum Chambers (Arsenal), Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur), Luke Garbutt (Everton), Ben Gibson (Middlesbrough), Carl Jenkinson (Arsenal, on loan at West Ham United), Michael Keane (Burnley), Liam Moore (Leicester City), John Stones (Everton), Matt Targett (Southampton)

Midfielders
Tom Carroll (Tottenham Hotspur, on loan at Swansea City), Nathaniel Chalobah (Chelsea), Will Hughes (Derby County), Jake Forster-Caskey (Brighton & Hove Albion), Jesse Lingard (Manchester United), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea), Alex Pritchard (Tottenham Hotspur), Nathan Redmond (Norwich City), James Ward-Prowse (Southampton)

Forwards
Benik Afobe (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Patrick Bamford (Chelsea, on loan at Middlesbrough), Saido Berahino (West Bromwich Albion), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Danny Ings (Burnley), Cauley Woodrow (Fulham)

I'm glad Kane is going with the under 21's. Usually when English players make it into the senior team they abandon the under 21's. They should go to these tournaments to gain tournament experience, it's worked for Spanish and German players in the past.

Massive respect for Kane for going and I just wish more of the younger lads did it.

Luke Shaw has almost zero international or European football experience and you would have thought this would have been a good experience for him so I'm not sure why he isn't going.

But overall I'm happy with the squad, think it's a better turn out of players than we usually get so I'm hoping they'll perform well.

Barkley and Sterling are 2 players that i think should be going too. It would be good for them.

Lets hope they are willing increase the wage bill enough for Petr to say up yours Wenger.

I presume there's some sort of tube strike near the Emirates, or something.

It's a school night & most of their fans have to study or prepare lessons, so they will miss the match Remember most of their fans are students & teachers :P

And it's exam season.

Funny watching the Sunderland fans. So desperate not to get relegated so that they can be in the same situation next year and so on as they always are. You'd think they'd see relegation as a good thing as then they might see their team win a few games next season.
