Cuadrado - Chelsea's #23

Featured Replies

New Chelsea scapegoat by the looks of this thread, blimey.

Likes of Ramires & Willian took a season to get used to the PL, give the kid a chance ffs.

Ask yourself why we continue to play tippy tappy football edge of the box, never shoot, hardly get balls whipped in from out wide, why our bench hasnt got a game changer, how many times has Drogba came on instead of Remy, dont seem to have a plan B, no instead lets dig a lad out who is not only new to the country but also new to the league.

Because he didn't have a good performance. It's not hard to follow what Remodez was trying to say.

Oscar had an acceptable performance but because he didn't score one of his chances everyone perceives it as being absolute sh*t again. Comprende?

Are you honestly saying Oscars performance was acceptable? Not by any stretch of the imagination was it, yes he wasn't invisible in the 2nd half but he still lost the ball plenty of times with his poor first touch.

Much improvement needed still.

See Remodez' post in the Oscar thread.

Fabregas was much worse

If he had scored a hat trick, a lot of people in this thread would be singing a different tune

f**k me, that's a big IF. Right now I would take one goal - even one bit of football where he does something decent - never mind a hat-trick which looks about as likely as me shagging Kate Upton!!

All very well people saying he needs minutes and needs to start games when so far his minutes on the pitch have been so unconvincing that Joe clearly feels it would be too much of a risk.

First off, I'm impressed by your bilingialism.

It's not hard to follow, that is true. In fact it's so bloody obvious, that it shouldnt be even said, ever. It absolutely pointless. It's funny how you finding a point in that moronic post tell me all i need to know about your intellectual capacity.

He was intentionally misrepresenting Remodez' post in the Oscar thread to try and make him look silly.

You still missing the point has no bearing on me. Have a good day, this conversation is what's absolutely pointless.

Too much of a risk? He isn't a youth team player he's a full international, who has played at the world cup! Although he didn't set the world alight, I thought he was okay against everton and burnley.

What is the attitude going to be if bamford has a few stinkers if he joins the 1st team? Will people be saying he isn't prem standard, or will people be saying give him time, let him adapt? I think cuadrado deserves the same courtesy, he didn't choose his price tag, he will be nervous, and he will need time to adapt.

You would find a point in a Nicki Minaj song

It's the first time I have scored a sub's performance 0/10 but Juan had approx. 7 touches and fluffed them all ...

Bring back Moses or anyone else for that matter. So far, a very questionable signing ???

From what I have seen so far, even hoping he might be one for "next season" looks rather optimistic!!!

1-1 at home with 15 minutes to go, you want to bring on a game changer. We let our one go in Schurrle and have signed this clown instead!

While reading through here waching the game trying to defend Oscar who wasn't playing as badly as was being said I was hoping Jose wasn't going to bring Cuadrado on for Oscar, I think he'll need a good preseason to get used to being here, he looks so nervous and his touch has been pretty bad, not sure if he'll make it but I do think in hindsight for the end of this season we'd have been much better off with Shuurle.

Not the perfect fit for the Jose team maybe but always capable of worrying the opposition which as well as his threat, openened things up for the others.

When Oscar and Willian are not at their best we are so reliant on Hazard and Costa that defending against us looks pretty simple.

Still if Jose has seen something in the boy to spend twenty odd million on, maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised, I just think keeping Shuurle would have been safer for our aspirations this season, maybe have even made the difference against PSG.

Hazard was good today... He was the only one running at their defence and causing them problems.

I just saw little to no end product from him today and not being willing to take a shot on. We know he has a great finish in him.

Maybe my standards for him are too high. Had Bale, Messi or Ronaldo played like that we would not say they had a good game. I put Hazard up there with them at his best.

Just not up to the pace of the league which isn't surprising when he's played such little football. Hard to judge a player who is so shoddily integrated into the team and by no means the first.

By too much of a risk I mean he doesn't look anywhere near PL level right now. He seems to lose the ball a heck of a lot and then we are on the back foot as teams counter.

I know he has to get used to playing in a different league & country but at this stage of the season, we cannot let players "find their way". You cannot compare him to Bamford. The latter is only 21 and of course people would be lenient with him. Have to say, right now, I would rather see Bamford coming on with 15 minutes to go than Cuadrado.

Just because cuadrado is 27, doesn't mean he should adapt to a new league and county quicker, than bamford would. Like I said before, let's at the very least give 3 consecutive starts.

I'm personally not writing him off but I think he looks a player who would have benefitted more from a Summer move as a pre sesson could have really helped him.

Absolutely agree. That knowledge of interchanging with the other attackers seems vital.

Just think he could've done with more minutes.

So far in his Chelsea career he's taken about 4 corners, and not one has come even close to clearing the first defender.

Our free-kicks and corners are pathetic in general but this guy has taken it to a whole new level.

I never thought I would ever see anybody worse at taking corners than Oscar and Willian.

How wrong I was.

If everyone in the crowd knows it's going to be sh*t, why isn't cesc taking them?

In fact why isn't he taking them all the time anyway? When Phil Jones takes corners for united we all what the f**k Van Gaal is playing at.
