I think he played pretty well today, Williams should have been off for that shove at the end once Costa had gotten through.

 

Loved him shoving over their keeper in about the 3rd minute of the game.

Diego Costa - the reason to smash them after the red card. If he wasn't on the pitch, we would probably defend the score without any passion.

I can't help but feel that Michael Oliver has a problem with Costa, he doesn't give him anything.

i am still struggling to get excited about costa. i certainly have my reservations about him, and it says a lot when all he seems to be remembered for after games are his on field antics and aggression towards oppo players. he didn't do anything of note and I am yet to see him take it past a player without looking like the ball is caught between his feet. i think we really should have gone for a better striker tbh.

So pleased hes sprinting again and he looks as if he has been in the weight room. I noticed his arms and upper body appear to be more muscular so fingers crossed he stays healthy.

I agreement: hairstyle. Only looks 65 now.

Had to laugh yesterday at a friend of my niece. She went to the player of the year evening and got JT's autograph and had the opportunity to ask him a question - of all the questions she could ask him, she asked "is Diego single".  JT apparently laughed and said he'd never been asked that before!

Was probably partying with his son Oscar. Probably a big example of dad dancing. Got to love Diego, such a legend.

Ordered his new book 'Art of War' yesterday, looking forward to reading it.

Book arrived yesterday (got it from amazon for a mere £7 delivered).

I am about 1/4 of the way through. Lots of funny little stories, the guy is a legend.

had a poor game again today. technically he is just not very good. his shooting is terrible atm and i would rather see traore up front if costa doesn't pick it up in the next few games. okay he scored a goal, but his general play was abysmal for a player of his level, and he costs us possession.

I thought he was alright. He held the ball up well at times, his movement was good and he got himself a goal and an assist. His shooting is up and down right now but he'll get there, we know how clinical he can be when on form.

As for his altercation with Yacob, he risks getting in trouble and I'm getting a bit bored by it.

Obvious he isn't fully fit yet but he still scored and set up 1 and people still find something to moan about

 

While his technique isn't Hazard or Iniesta level it's still good enough. If people would actually watch full games of him you would soon realize that he's a very good dribbler and actually has a very good first touch most of the time.

Agree with all minus last point, I'm not 100% he makes top five but still a brilliant player.
