Diego "the guv'nor" Costa

I dunno how to feel, I think conte is unbelievable I mean look at my name and I know Costa can be c**ty but suppose he is telling the truth that he wanted to stay and renew his contract and he was let go by text that's  a bad move by the manager. Costa is going about this all wrong but he may have a legitimate grievance.

It is clear . We sell him to atletico for whatever they are willing to pay, or he stays in Brazil with us getting no fee. What a farce.  Costa may be on our books longer than conte lol.

Thats the sh*t part AND the funny. We're holding him hostage yet he's turned down at least 2 possible moves. He's dead set on Atleti and they know it, so we aren't getting any value from them.

I suppose you could argue they'll pay a reasonable price to keep relations up with us but then again why would they now?

It's been poor from everyone involved. Don't really see why the board is slow on this one. Just let him go to Atleti and take the hit now than suffer later on.

Why you continue to saying, that Conte tell him he is not in his plan by text message, when Conte and the club said numberous time, that Costa and his agent was told he is done with Chelsea in January and they know this long time ago.

It`s idiotic to let such a idi** stay in your club. He will only poison the atmosphere in the dressing room.

He is doing sh** on every 2-3 months and stop playing football, when he want. He is losing form and so on.

If Conte was not exiled him, the board would never get a quality striker like Morata for replacement.
Conte did the best thing.

It`s Costa, who ruin all, in the winter with his wanna move to China. It`s obvious the club rejected it, till summer, and all goes wrong. Now China can`t get him, due to taxes and he want Atletico move.

Costa is a f**** disgrace. And that`s what he deserve to be fined, and fined, and not recieve a penny from the team.

How hard is it exactly to sell a 28 year old 20 goal a season striker? The club have had a real stinker this season letting the squad get so thing, selling to a rival and unable to peacefully of load a player that should have clubs lining up for him

He refuses to go anywhere but Atletico and Conte made it known he doesn't want him back at Chelsea. As much as I like to criticize the board, in this particular situation it's not really their fault.

Diego's been acting like a self serving scumbag for quite a while. He has wanted out the minute he got the foot in the door. The club/squad/managers had to deal with the circus surrounding him and his mood changes/drop of form on a regular basis. Apparently he has asked to leave the club on three (!) different occasions this past season. Now he's playing the victim of the 'evil' club that first banished him and now prevents him from joining his beloved Atletico.

Yes, Conte was wrong to text him that message and it weakened the club's position. But the lion's share of blame for what has transpired lies with the player himself.

Can't really say Costa is in the wrong here. Conte told him he doesn't want him so he's holding out to go back to Atletico. He's still human, why should he be made to go live in China or some other sh*t hole just because it gets Chelsea a few extra million. Fair play to him.

It just seems like a total lack of professionalism from costa and conte imo. If conte doesn't want him because of his poor attitude fine, but at least keep things amicable to get him out the door. Instead of making it look like it's us who's getting rid costa, we should've been smart and let costa think we were letting him get his dream move back to Atlético, Then if Atlético don't pay up, we have a replacement in morata, and a fitter costa that would be more likely to either get his head down here, or better yet move to another interested club. Conte's harsh stance has only increased Costa's stubbornness to get his own way.

Costa is one of the least professional players ive seen at the club, the way that he has gone so public with his version of events has increased the club's stubbornness to not bend to his demands.

Now we are at an ugly deadlock. Either we accept a low ball offer from Atlético or we have see all this nonsense dragged through a courtroom as im pretty sure we won't be planning on paying his wages while he sunbaths in brazil.

It will interesting to see what happens if he is still a chelsea player when the window closes. Do the club still register him in the squad? If they don't then it will only back his legal case that he's been forced out and we will probably have to pay his wages in full, and also a loyalty bonus when he finally leaves.

Ugly ugly situation.

Maybe because costa kicked up a fuss in jan to leave Chelsea, so conte told him to f**k off

Costa wanted to leave for long period. He wanted to leave last year in the summer, then in the winter, then he was having problems with Jose ...

It`s all his fault.
Conte told him long time ago he is done at Chelsea.

Costa is a stupid guy. That is. He may have quality, but as a person is a very stupid.

Costa has wanted to leave pretty much since the moment he joined, I don't know why he even bothered coming here, I expect it was for the money.

Costa has no credibility in criticizing Chelsea and Conte, he's happily taking our pay despite not being in the Country. If he really wants to strike, he could start from not taking his pay. I'd totally cool with it if Roman agrees to f* up his career by rotting him in the reserve on for next 2 years.

By all accounts we're fining him any wages he's earning as he's refusing to come back. 2 years is it he has left? That's fine Diego, just you sit in Brazil with no income or football for 2 years if Atleti won't pay the money.

It's not really fine we should be getting 50 mil for him 2 years of his wages are about 14 million....so we stand to lose 35 million by doing that, it suits no one and won't happen.

You seem quite angry maybe a nap would do you some good? Of course the club will say that it's bad PR otherwise, he said he showed his Spain team mates so it may come out in the end.

He's not being paid whilst in Brazil.

quite hard when there's only one club he would return to, and that club don't happen to be that wealthy. it means we make a loss. i don't think conte is innocent in this scenario and he's made a stupid mistake. i understand if they didn't get on, but conte should have left it to the board to deal with costa not clap back via text and strain relations to a point where the player doesn't want to return. costa has no issue with the club by the sounds of things, it's conte who he has issues with.

I prefer to believe Conte, not Costa. It was all obvious in the winter. Someone doesn`t want to belive it back there, but now all have sense.

Back then Costa was offered big money move and he wanted big, so he and Conte have a row, and Costa was taken out of the squad. And there was a report that Conte say to him, that he is done and in the summer he can f** off and leave.

Just how is it happen.

And for the message. Even if there is a message, that doesn`t mean Costa not knowing his faith back in January, as was Conte and board have said.

As far as i remember, Conte was sending a gratz to anyone and wish them good vacation and to stay in shape.

Costa then put some idiotic joke back to Conte, and then Conte tell him again he is not in his plans.

It`s so obvious that Costa was looking a way out. He is very stupid guy. He leave Atletico, just to cry year later to go back there. He came to us for the money, then China offered him more, and then hes head was turned, we refuse to sell in the winter. And all collapse, cause of the taxes in China league.

And the id*** right now want to get back to Atletico.

enigma, if you was smarter, you would not think like that. Costa try to provoke and row even more between the board and Conte.
Of course he won`t say anything bad for the club, but for the coach. He is still in contract with us. And it`s all to the board. That`s why he is trying to put the blame on Conte and be polite with the board.

It`s so obvious, it`s make me think, how you not think of it ?

But you always defend the board and blame Conte. Even when you was put wrong time after time.

Emanalo is that you ?

yes, but the sale of costa is the board's responsibility, not conte's. conte should have thought carefully about the situation and left it to the board to deal with it. maybe things would have been difficult anyway, but at least we wouldn't have been pressured into selling for a lower fee than maybe we could have initially got from atletico. i refuse to believe atletico couldn't afford 50m for him, but now we need to get rid atletico can refuse a higher fee.

Costa would do his antics and try to force a move by anything.
Stop believeing the b.s. he is saying.

He would have done something else and Atletico is pure sh*** and they would probably never give us the price we wanted for him.

So he would start doing s*** to lower his fee.

Costa is disgrace. He was throwing bib at Jose and clearly show that he doesn`t care for the club with his antics.

Pretty much. Atletico needed the money and Costa doubled his salary so he choose that option. Footballers are greedy sods at the end of the day, clubs foreign to them mean little. Loyalty in football now doesn't exist.

sell him for whatever now I saw be it 25 million. We ain't using him and we badly need replacents.
