February 7, 201610 yr If it wasn't for him, we would be really struggling in this second half of the season.
February 7, 201610 yr very good today ! but he always wants to beat his defender with fancy skills wich doesnt work often (almost at the end tho)
February 7, 201610 yr 6 goals and 2 assists in his last 7 PL games. I'm delighted with his form. Hopefully there'll be many more to come from him. Well done, Diego
February 7, 201610 yr Costa saved the game in the last minutes. I'm so glad he's back in form and that he's very consistent;match after match he makes things happen.
February 7, 201610 yr He really needed more support, sometime he lose his temper because he had to deal with 2-3 defenders on his own for the majority of the match. No wonder he had to go wide to get some space.
February 8, 201610 yr Diego Costa is one of the few leaders in our side, and one of the even fewer with a bit of passion that at times he oversteps. Would only trade him for Suarez/Aguero but no one else, he may not be the best technically and he may go over the mark and frustrate people but I feel he's stepped up when we needed him and that is good enough for me, will be gutted if he leaves at the end of the season. If and it's a big if, we get Simeone then Costa will be even better. Plus how can you dislike someone that Arsenal fans hate with a passion? Love him.
February 8, 201610 yr The Guy loves winning and he loves winning in a Chelsea shirt..keep this guy around build the team around Him, Hazard/willian, Zouma(hope he recovers soon) Courtios thats very strong spine when all these guys are in top form very scary
February 8, 201610 yr Yeh Brutos I agree, that's the positive spirit we need. Costa and Fabregas are definitely enjoying their football a lot more since Guus cam in and they are showing tons more urgency and far more passion since Jose left. However our crowd need to be more noisy at the home matches. I've noticed that the away fans coming to Stamford bridge are making loads of noise all the time, whereas our crowd only shout now and again! Our away support is much noisier than our home support.
February 8, 201610 yr I've noticed that the away fans coming to Stamford bridge are making loads of noise all the time, whereas our crowd only shout now and again! Our away support is much noisier than our home support. That's true of all teams. But I agree that it would be nice for a noisier home crowd - I think everyone's just a bit shell-shocked this season!
February 8, 201610 yr Yeh this season has been shocking ! But the atmosphere created by our own crowd at home has been going down for the past few years. Our crowd at home seem to becoming complacent and more interested in the beer before and after the match rather than making as much noise as possible in the stadium. We need some drummers and more singers !
February 9, 201610 yr After the season, they should give Guus Hiddink a job as Diego Costa's personal sports psychologist
February 9, 201610 yr Author Is he off at the end of the season? Let's hope not. Don't think he's worth less than £45m personally so hopefully we can scare off any suitors with his price alone.
February 9, 201610 yr If he goes I can honestly see us trying to bring Lukaku back. But don't Atleti have a transfer ban?
February 9, 201610 yr Let's hope not. Don't think he's worth less than £45m personally so hopefully we can scare off any suitors with his price alone. I think he worth closer to 60m personally. He is still young enough to improve further. There isn't a great deal of top strikers out there, who would we be able to replace him with, without the lure of champions league football? Higuain? Benzema? Lukaku? He can be incredibly frustrating to watch at times, but when he is on it, he is a real handful. I'm not his biggest fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I think we need to hang onto him, and hazard, for at least another season.
February 9, 201610 yr He's the next best thing we have to a Drogba, with a higher conversion rate so far, keep it up big angry fella,
February 9, 201610 yr Author I'm not his biggest fan by any stretch of the imagination I am, not sure I hide my bias and man love for Diego very well. But yes, I agree, there isn't anyone better who we could realistically replace him with, I hope we hold on to him at any cost.
February 9, 201610 yr Willian is now tired of dragging us out of trouble, now Costa has taken it up. I hope Hazard can join at some point before the end of the season
February 11, 201610 yr Has he done interviews or press conferences lately? Been quiet on social media too. Hazard, Mikel, Courtois etc have all been interviewed. Others are active on social media. Considering Costa's been the most important contributor in the last dozen games and has had a fascinating comeback, I expected to hear more from him.
