December 29, 201510 yr Fwiw, that makes more sense to me than Rodgers. A cardboard cutout of rodgers would make more sense than rodgers
December 29, 201510 yr mark hughes for chelsea? would of laughed at that one a few years ago, but today? he certainly seems to be improving He's doing a great job at Stoke. Totally changed their style. Played under some of the great coaches and a Chelsea fan, could be a good outsider for the job. Though probably not a big enough name for the board.
December 29, 201510 yr I personally thought that was a fun game. Both sides fluffed some pretty good chances, but ultimately Leicester were well able to contain City and Mangala/Otamendi were generally able to sweep up the long balls to Vardy. When the sides both brought on more heavy-set centre forwards the game became less stodgy and a little more to-and-fro. I thought Leicester's full-backs were particularly impressive tonight; Fuchs (a signing which largely went under the radar considering how poor Leicester's left-back options were last season) is beginning to show his European pedigree and Danny Simpson did shockingly well, both going forward and defending against Sterling/Kolarov, especially considering about four months ago I would have named him as one of the Premier League's worst right backs. He's done incredibly well since displacing de Laet from the first XI and I think Leicester look like a better defensive unit because of it. Credit to him. I think a draw was a fair result (possibly better for Leicester) but I would probably have preferred that one side claim all three points; I cannot stand the sight of those miserable Gooners at the top! Personal highlight - yelling "Chelsea reject" at de Bruyne whenever he took a corner
December 29, 201510 yr ^^^ totally agree. I can't believe this is the same Danny Simpson that was a disaster at Newcastle. He looked atrocious.

We looked at Germany and got a young left back that can't defend whilst they got an international on a free.
December 30, 201510 yr Different pressure involved though playing for Leicester and chelsea...make a mistake at Leicester and no-one talks about it..eg Vardy missed a sitter last night, barely discussed in the media...if that was Costa/hazard etc it would spark debate on what's wrong. Why out of form etc...that's why I don't want Vardy...he won't get to play with the same freedom at Leicester - the spotlight will be on him on every match, even more so with a big price tag...I doubt he can handle it
December 30, 201510 yr Considering all the sh*t he gets, I think it's only fair to mention that baring one mistake Mangala was very solid.
December 30, 201510 yr No h wasn't, his positioning was atrocious once again, he actually fouled his own cb partner at one point. Hes been embarrassingly bad their past 6 or 7 games.
December 31, 201510 yr Turns out the "normal " one is in fact the slightly unhinged one. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/dec/30/jurgen-klopp-police-officer-sam-allardyce-liverpool-sunderland
January 2, 201610 yr Author I asked the question before but are Liverpool really any better off now with Klopp than they were with Rodgers?
January 2, 201610 yr Gotta wait to see who he brings in and how he reshapes the squad to get a definitive answer Edited January 2, 201610 yr by Stim
January 2, 201610 yr I asked the question before but are Liverpool really any better off now with Klopp than they were with Rodgers? I would say yes, as Rodgers is no longer there being a complete tool. Klopp seems a decent guy. (Mind you, so was Rodgers when he was at Swansea. Must be something to do with Liverpool). January 2, 201610 yr Klopp is mental. I don't mind him because he's pure entertainment, but he's been in England for a few months but his antics are already in the limelight. The Normal One, yeah :)
January 2, 201610 yr We are so boring to watch nowadays United's last 9 home games at half time: 0-0 Man City, 0-0 Boro, 0-0 CSKA, 0-0 WBA, 0-0 PSV, 0-0 West Ham, 0-1 Norwich, 0-0 Chelsea, and 0-0 against Swansea. Have been a bit unlucky to not score in some, but overall the football has been fairly negative and I imagine fans will be running out of patience with LVG soon. My opinion isn't popular but I have never seen any improvements with LVG over Moyes.
January 2, 201610 yr Aston Villa surely doomed. 7pts off 19th 11 from safety. (As it stands) Edit: I say that, now they equalise. Edited January 2, 201610 yr by AlexTommo

My opinion isn't popular but I have never seen any improvements with LVG over Moyes. There have been a few improvements over Moyes. For one we are a lot better against other big teams under Van Gaal than under Moyes (Arsenal this year aside). The players are looking a bit more technical. The problem is that we either defend or attack, we struggle to do both. The best bits of the LVG reign have been Smalling's rise and Martial purchase. We haven't really progressed much other than that, no.
