After today's results, j think I want United to get top 4 and win FA cup as they are less likely to get rid of LVG.

I cant decide if I want City or Arsenal to miss out on CL. Both would be satisfying for their own reasons

Arsenal missing out would be so funny but at least with Wenger, he's not doing anything special. I do worry about Jose being at United with a large transfer kitty and proper backing.

Really hope Arsenal get top 4. Wouldn't want their board to panic and get rid of Wenger.

Papers change their mind on a daily basis..,think last I read was LVG will see out his contract and Utd have asked Jose to take over after that

Doubt Jose will wait, unless he doesn't have a choice I guess.

It does seem to change daily. A few weeks it was all signed and done, this week it's wait till next summer.

Even that wouldn't work!  La Liga doesn't take account of goal difference - it is based on head to head and Barca have won the head to head with Atletico.

 

Oh, well that's definitely it for them then. If it was on goal difference then they would have had a really good chance

i can't even enjoy city potentially missing cl because we've been so sh*t and it bugs me what could have been had we put a decent run of results together. we could have actually got cl (or at the very least, europa) football if we had pulled our fingers out - pissed me right off.

Yeah that was my understanding to, I can only guess they've heard previously that if City win CL and Liverpool won EL that the 4th spot (unless it was City given they'd have won CL) would lose its CL place. They must have misheard it, my mate who supports Pool was bragging that they may knock City or United out by winning the EL right then I told him he was wrong.

Unless the fourth-placed team manage to screw up the playoff, of course.

So countdown is on for last game at Upton Park tomorrow night...I appreciate it means a lot to West Ham fans, but why should the rest of the country give a stuff and have it rammed down their throats every five seconds?...it's not as if it's been a home for consistent success, title winning games, Europe etc...like I said, not dismissing west hams right to get a bit emotional about it, but for the rest of the country, the ground is an irrelevance

You can apply that same post to when Steven Gerrard left Liverpool. From their fans perspective you can see why they were emotional but for the whole cringe worthy bollocks we got from Sky Sports and the whole media it was irrelevant.

Especially as, for a period of time, it was one of the most dangerous and threatening grounds to be an away fan at, which doubtless will be ignored as the press (most of whom seem to be West Ham fans) lay it on thick about the so called Academy of Football and all those lovable cheeky chappie Cockneys.
