i've heard benatia hasn't had the best of times at bayern. maybe overrated or maybe in the wrong team (under pep anyway). maybe our fellow bayern supporter can give us some insight into how benatia has performed since his time there. i think we should hold out on buying any under performing central defenders tbh 

Hummels started his career at Bayern, playing one Bundesliga match in 2007, before moving to Dortmund. His final appearance for Dortmund will be against Bayern in the German Cup final on Saturday, 21 May - if selected.

If you were a Dortmund fan you would be raging if he were to play in that final against his new club.

Admittedly I don't watch Bayern every week but when I have Benatia seems to be most at ease as a RCB. Strikes me as the Ben Haim type tbh (one or two good seasons before drifting into obscurity). For 12m or so he's worth a gamble perhaps but I would have thought we'd be in the market for a proven LCB. Hopefully Roma will take him back and sell Manolas to us.

haven't seen much of him, but heard good things and looks good from youtube (is youtube though). how high is his ceiling? 

He has the potential to be one of the best midfielders in he world but it's always hard to call stuff like this seeing as there's so many variables. He is fantastic though, only problem is that he tries risky passes a lot which results in misplaced passes somewhat often but that's just down to age and inexperienced. 

 

Imagine a non lazy Toure who constantly runs around the pitch (I think I just described Kante but nevermind), that's basically Sanches minus the height difference. 

Benatia is world class on some days then looks like a Sunday league player on other days. Way to inconsistent but maybe he just doesn't fit the high line that Pep and Bayern have played. He's a solid CB but expect some head scratching brain farts more often than you would like....

Sounds much like Cahill at times.

There's a recent media trend to call Upton Park 'The Boleyn Ground'. It may be its proper name but I honestly had no clue when I first heard it called that. It's 'West Ham' or 'Upton Park'. Soon to be flats no doubt.
