November 21, 201510 yr Time to admit we got it wrong all those years ago, just? Claudio laughing at the top of the league with no resources, makes me ponder on the great chelsea dynasty that could have been, and which Jose robbed from the great CR. Come home Clownio!
November 21, 201510 yr Could never beat Wenger. Or Ferguson. Nice man though. Beat both actually, Ferguson a number of times. Built our first title winning side. Love him.
November 22, 201510 yr Got a lot of time for Claudio, especially as he bought in a lot of the foundation of the successful team we've had over the past decade + He was the one who made JT captain despite being one of the youngest players in the squad. He saw the importance of having a player like Makelele despite being given a blank check to buy whoever he wanted. Signed Joe Cole, had deals agreed for Robben and Cech before he left too. But swap Jose for him? No thanks.
November 22, 201510 yr Could never beat Wenger Are you sure about that Bevis? http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xa6j3s_2003-04-clqf2-arsenal-1-2-chelsea_sport
November 22, 201510 yr Always had a soft spot for the tinkerman. If jose was to go in the future I would. Be happy to have Claudio back.
November 22, 201510 yr so he's getting the credit now? we could name some arguably failed projects like valencia, juventus etc since chelsea but this achievement with leicester can not go unnoticed.. it's really quite stunning but there is every chance it could end up like city's sven goran erickson.. we'll see how the tinkerman handles it, he's doing a pretty darn good job now..
November 22, 201510 yr Time to admit we got it wrong? Yeah we got it wrong getting rid of a manager we won no trophies with and then replacing him with a guy we won many with. Leicester will not be where they are now come the end of the season and I also doubt they will do aswell next season. Honestly jog on!
November 22, 201510 yr Would I take him back? No. But I wish him the best of luck in whatever he does, really hope Leicester can keep up the fantastic form they've shown so far although it's unlikely.
November 22, 201510 yr All I'll say is Monaco away My thought, too. Who was playing at RB? Hasselbaink for Melchiot?
November 22, 201510 yr All I'll say is Monaco away I was there. JT's reported dressing quote of "what the f**k was that?" Was the same as many of us fans were saying after the game. I like Claudio and wish him well with the Foxes. Probably suits him having a small squad and limited resources. Takes away the tendency to tinker.
November 22, 201510 yr Likeable guy but how can anybody say we got it wrong when we have won 4 league titles, 4 F.A cup's, 3 League Cup's, 2 Community Shields, 1 Europa League and 1 Champions League since he was sacked ? He's doing well with Leicester now but look what he has done at other club's in the last 10 years, nothing much at all. Valencia Parma Second season with Roma Juventus Inter Milan All of these club's underachieved with Ranieri in charge. His only success since he left us was one season with Roma where they finished runners up in Serie A and with Monaco who had tons of money.

I'll tell you who says we got it wrong sacking Ranieri (and also can't spell his name) people who are spoilt brats and only see the here and now rather than the past or the future. November 22, 201510 yr He bought Lampard. Hero Also I think Cech as well just never got to use him...We'll always all love him for what he did for us, especially the Billion Pound Game and beating the Invincible's, but you need your head examined if you think he's been better than Mourinho over the last decade...a few months changes nothing.
November 22, 201510 yr He bought some great players, NEARLY won us trophies but in the end we moved on. Love the guy. Remember Lazio away November 2003. Did good things elsewhere but also did Greece!! He wont be back because he wont & nor will Roman. Wish him all the best at Leicester. Lets move on. We got JM.
November 22, 201510 yr I'm happy for the man. If there's a man that deserves success, it should be him. However, he did mess up during his last season, and let him go was the correct decision ( I wasn't happy at the time either). He's a very good manager, I just don't see him has the killer instinct and ruthlessness as a top level manager.
November 23, 201510 yr I enjoyed Claudio's time with us. Maybe it would have bought success, but we'll never know. He bought Robben too, but never got to manage him. Fond memories of our build up to winning the league in my lifetime, starting with Glen Hoddle, and his influence.

November 23, 201510 yr Something rubs me up the wrong way slightly with threads like this. Unless you have been pining after Claudio for the last 10 years, including the three years we won the title with Jose, don't just start piping up now because he has won a few games and Leicester are suddenly, temporarily, top of the league for a weekend. No disrespect for Leicester achieving what they have, but we all know it will go downhill from here, especially when you look at their next run of fixtures.
