Jamie Vardy

His offensive ability will be quickly carved out by Mourinho's tactic. He'll improve a lot in tracking back though if he joins us.

His reading of the game is exceptional and he never ever stops running - even in the first game in which I saw him I knew they had something special. His main weakness is that his passing can be a bit inconsistent, but in his defence it is usually forward.

I'd be all in favour of us taking a punt on him, but I do wonder how he would cope in a possession-focused team rather than in one whose strategy is to get the ball forward as quickly as possible - the speed at which Leicester attack is phenomenal.

I really really hope that Leicester retain all their players in Jan. Yes, I don't want us to buy any of their players. It really will not make too much of a difference to our season. Also, plenty of other players of that level around.

I hope Leister resist the $ and keep all their players, you don't get opportunity like this to achieve something special every season. He won't be as half effective as he is now if he plays for us, we all could see that. I wish Vardy and Leister all the best for the rest of the season, hell if they need 3 points to win the league in their last game at the Bridge, I would happily play along ( as long as we are in a decent position by then).

NO way Leicester sell any of their players this season.  They are in unchartered territory, have Ranieri at the helm, and will be strong candidates for CL football.  That is worth more to them than any bid for one, or even two, players

i would rather not buy either mahrez or vardy. you think the best clubs out there would buy either of those two? even city have more aspiration than that. we are starting to sound like a club who are aiming for mediocrity, not biggest of the european and domestic honours.

Kante.I'd take him at a heartbeat.

I see Vardy as a player who is right now at the top of his game, everything is going for him. I do wonder if he will return to being the English Shane Long when the spell runs lean.

I guarantee that many of the top clubs are watching Mahrez this season. Mahrez was showing flashes of how good he could be last season, this season is his breakthrough year, all of the top players have that moment.

no chance of Leicester selling him or Mahrez

their only chance at winning the prem ever most likely, to sell the 2 main reasons why in Jan would be title winning suicide

just like Everton with stones no amount of dosh imo

I'm very skeptical of us considering to buy Vardy or Mahrez. At the moment they're playing terrific football and deserve the plaudits they're receiving for allowing Leicester to be top of the ladder at Christmas but long-term I don't think they would be good signings.

Signing them would reek of desperation on our behalf and show no long-term insight or vision into our club's future prospects. They'd be merely good signings in the short-term but more likely to be liabilities in the long-term.

For what's it's worth it would be brilliant for these two players to achieve the ultimate glory with Leicester this season. We're not going to win the title this season and I hate the prospect of someone like Arsenal or Manchester City winning it so I'm right behind Leicester here and retaining their best players would give them the best chance to succeed.

Depends on the price. If he costs us 5 million pounds - his real value - would get him - for third choice in the club. But more - no thanks.

Let's be real... Leicester would not consider selling him for anything less than £30m+...Yes he is scoring goals this season. 1, will he want to leave the club sitting top? 2, will he be a hit next season? Answer is probably no and no.

We all know English player tax is £10m+. There are a distinct lack of world class strikers around to poach. They are all at Barca, Madrid and Bayern, apart from Aguero.

Torres has been scoring again, maybe a loan deal? hahahahaha just kidding.... i really am!

I am a fan of Cavani. Think he would be great for us in the Prem. Not to long to see who Guus goes after.

I'm not a fan of Cavani personally, never have been, he bottle's it in the big games ( he'll probably score against us in the Champions League now i have said that  )

This guy has flop written all over him. People seem to forget he only hit 5 goals last season, Leicester are having a freak season and so is he. He's also 29 soon

If reports are true and we're willing to pay 30 million for him we are the biggest mugs in football. It would be worse than when Liverpool bought Carroll, at least Carroll was young and had potential

Does no-one remember Michu? He had a freak season and was rumoured of a 30m transfer.

He turned out to be a one season wonder, a flash in the pan.

Michu was only good for two seasons of his career which was his final season with Rayo Vallecano where he scored 17 goals in 39 games and his first season with Swansea where he scored 22 goals in 43 games. After that he's been in decline ever since.

I'm wary that Vardy may head down a similar path but one thing going in his favour is his determination, excellent work ethic and leadership qualities that provides him with the best chance possible to maintain this great form he's experiencing at the moment.

At the right price I'd consider Vardy but I'm very skeptical about his long-term qualities and whether the club will overpay in a moment of panic and knee-jerk decision making.

Remember Grant Holt's sterling run of form? Michu? Papiss Cisse? Danny Graham? Danny Ings? Charlie Austin?

No thanks.
