February 3, 201610 yr Well then seems we have here a match up between two managers who will be under pressure to deliver three points to boost their faulting sides, but will set themselves up for and be happy with taking one. Can see another dull affair here, which tends to often be the norm for our matches with United. 0-0 the most likely out come, though if either side snatches a 1-0/0-1 I would not be surprised. If we can be the one to take it though we may well just be able to finally win back to back league games for the first time this season as our next match is at home to Newcastle and surely then we would....yeah never mind, we make the poor sides look decent at the mo. Lets hope we turn up for this one and can have an enjoyable Sunday. Usual suspects expected: Tibo Brana---Zouma---JT---Azpi -----Mikel------Matic Willian----Cesc-----Oscar ------Diego

February 4, 201610 yr Expected United Lineup: De Gea Darmian Smalling Blind CBJ Carrick Fellaini Lingard Mata Martial Rooney After today's game, I think you'll smash us.
February 4, 201610 yr Expect another boring draw. 2 mutually hating Dutch managers who can't afford to lose a game at moment, expect defensive approach from both sides and points shared.
February 4, 201610 yr It's a weird situation in that I think neutrals are mostly rooting for Chelsea. Chelsea is the underdog, and no one, not even United fans, want to see the smug look on Louis van Gaal's face when he brags that his "philosophy" has been vindicated.
February 4, 201610 yr Ever optimistic, we pipped Arsenal away, we can beat these at home. We need a boost, come on you Blues.
February 4, 201610 yr We should have enough to beat them! Courtois Ivanovic - Zouma - Terry - Azpilicueta Mikel - Fabregas Willian - Oscar - Hazard Costa
February 4, 201610 yr We're incredibly still only five points from seventh spot, a win here would do a lot of good.
February 4, 201610 yr ^ Agreed, I would greatly enjoy it if we managed to finish above Liverpool this season. We are only five points behind and have a better goal difference. Can't see Ivanovic stopping Martial. He managed it last time!
February 4, 201610 yr We should have enough to beat them! Courtois Ivanovic - Zouma - Terry - Azpilicueta Mikel - Fabregas Willian - Oscar - Hazard Costa I'd buy you this lineup except that I would start with Azpilicueta on the right and Baba on the left.
February 4, 201610 yr He managed it last time! Not sure he did, Zouma was the only one that managed to do so.
February 4, 201610 yr Not sure he did, Zouma was the only one that managed to do so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoSWLu8l5Qo Yea, you'd have something to worry about with Ivan, if this was 2012, luckily our managers don't have the foresight to start Baba and play Azpi at right back. February 4, 201610 yr For those travelling to the game on Sunday. Some tube stations may be closed due to a strike. Bloody nuisance. https://tfl.gov.uk/campaign/tube-strike?intcmp=35779
February 4, 201610 yr Martial's a great player and great players will more often than not beat their defender one-on-one. We've been spoilt with memories of Ashley Cole keeping Ronaldo in his pocket but he was an exceptional one-on-one defender. Azpi is a good one too. Ivanovic isn't really. He's got heavy, slow feet for a full-back and a massive arse which means he isn't that agile. Even then, I've not seen anything of Baba in his time here to suggest he's much better. He's young though and he's got time on his side but this weekend we just have to do what you do with all top wide-players and double up on them so when they get past the first guy, the second (probably Mikel) is there to sweep up. February 4, 201610 yr Same team, same tactics, same result as Watford and most of the games we've played under Guus so far.

You are probably right in that we need to play the top players (by name) and I agree that we haven't seen much of Baba yet (I think he played against Aston Villa at The Bridge, but I wasn't impressed by his performance then). But, in a hypothetical line up with Baba on the left and Azpilicueta on the right back, Martial would be facing Azpi. And he is for sure more reliable than Ivanovic to stop Martial.
February 4, 201610 yr Ivan will spend more time on his arse than spending time putting crosses in. Would like to say we will win 1-0, but last nights game didn't instill much confidence for us to get a result on Sunday. Matic was awful last night and Oscar didn't offer too much either....let Kenedy and RLC have a run out.
February 4, 201610 yr Keep the run going but with the three points this time.Should be going trains permitting.....UP THE CHELS!
