Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager

The worst managing for one single game I've ever seen.

Nah it was Grandpa Guus what a prick he clearly hates the club

Nah it was Robbie against Juventus how the f**k do you not even play a striker and completely jeopardise our chances in the Champions' League

Nah it was that prick AVB how could he play that slow prick JT (what's he ever done for the club except shag Bridge's missus tbh) against Arsenal

Nah it was Emenalo any amateur could sea that Djeelobodjy is an amateaur, the f**king loan players are literally pointless and anyone could f**king sign Eden Hazard

Or maybe it was José... vs Swansea last season... and the rest. (and I genuinely include Benitez vs Boro in that).

It look's to me that Conte is going to learn about some of our players the hard way. There are 3 or 4 in that starting 11 who i just don't think are good enough and they have been showing they are not good enough for some time now.

Ivanovic, hasn't played consistently well for over a year now.

Matic, i thought he was building something with Kante but it was clear to see tonight that he is still that same player from last season. He cannot cope under any kind of pressure from the opposition.

Oscar, it's like Mourinho's first season all over again. Oscar ahead of Mata, and now Oscar ahead of Fabregas. Oscar will never be consistently good enough for us. He's not a top player.

I also think that in the long run, the likes of Willian can only take us so far. He deserved to win player of the season for us last season, but let's be honest here, he won it mainly because everyone else was so sh*t, not because he did anything exceptional. Willian is great at running back and helping defensively, but his negatives come out when we are trying to go forward. Corners are awful, his passing is average, he can't thread a pass through a defense. Willian is better at the defensive side of football than he is going forward, and he's supposed to be a forward thinking player.

I just hope Conte reacts quickly, because if we have another season like last season then i think we will fall so far behind the rest of Europe and we could take a long time to catch back up with them.

Well you can't remember monaco 03, naples 2012 then can you?

timing and the choice of subs were wrong but this result falls on everyone, most of the players were tripe right from the start.

So disappointing tonight. I get that Conte wanted to sit deep and nullify Liverpools attack but there was no intensity from the players. They seemed scared and timid.

Costa clearly had instructions to focus on football but I actually think that approach is a detriment to Costa and to the team.

Oscar? Well we all called on it on here. Turns up when he wants.

Matic - I thought he was decent tonight and played pretty well. Criticism seems OTT

I hope that this isn't t a sign of things to come.

I cannot stand his jogging and strolling. Jody Morris was sitting in the stands tonight, he would have done a better job.

i think that for all the blame conte gets and rightly so, i think it's important to understand that he does what he thinks is best.

and it is telling. moses, bless him for his hard work, is a mid table multiple reject, pedro hasn't been anything since guardiola and fabregas can't run (which is kind of a bummer against the best conditioned/running team in the league).

i thought he got it really wrong not playing batshuayi from the start of the 2nd half instead of oscar.

i also thought he was too timid lining up his team too low on the pitch to begin with.

and maybe he left it too late, but then again none of our subs did anything.

this cliche is probably overused at this point, but conte has a philosophy and he sees these guys in the field every day. win some lose some. most important thing now is to take action based on what he saw this game.

I mostly agree with what you are saying - esp the Batchuayi part but I would not blame the subs for not having an impact. 6 mins is not enough time to have an impact. We left it way too late in the game to do something to turn the tide. You are right in that Fabergas cant run, but he cant pass precisely and the ball always travels faster than the player. Plug in Cesc and Batchuayi against the weak Liverpool defenders and make them chose between attacking us and letting their defense open to our counter or defend in numbers and lose the option to attack us with freedom. Instead We adjusted our game to their formation and we failed.

My fear from what i am seeing is that we are way too defensive in our approach. Considering that Oscar is in before CEsc for his defensive abilities, including the 4 defenders and 3 DMs - We have 7 people dedicated to defense. Leaving Hazard and Costa as our only capable threat in attack while Willian, Pedro etc are the attacking players who attack but dont really threaten. When u play this approach, you really are making it harder on yourself to score. Also, despite our defensive formation, we are still conceding goals. This cannot continue.

i hope conte's not one of those stubborn managers who are too arrogant to change his coaching approach in this case using substitutions, if you think uncle guus's late substitutions is bad..

one thing also is on the 86th minute when liverpool got the ball, instead of pressing high aggressively going for the jugular since we're trailing at home and got nothing to lose anyway, we actually continue to sit back very deep letting them waste some time just passing the ball on their own half, that was very frustrating to watch really

i hate to agree with the prick but carra was spot on yesterday, that conte's too obsessed in stopping liverpool's offense, it made us too scared and timid going forward thinking if we lose the ball it will give them chance to counter quickly, that plus willian can't even string a single pass didn't help either

Remember, this squad was a champion 2 years ago and they would probably become double champions if they didn't fire Jose on purpose. So players are not so bad. There is a scrub in the team, that's for sure, but its not impossible to compete and win the title. If the Diego was booked first two matches, we would be on the bottom exactly where we deserve to be considering the football we've played so far. And that's against some of the worst teams in the league, no doubt about it. Swansey, Burnley, Watford and West Ham... Shame on Conte and his defensive philosophy.

Liverpool - Arsenal (A), Scums(A), Chelsea (A), Leicester (H), Burnley (A) - same points. It's a f**ing disgrace.

I very much hope that it hits home to conte that there's a reason we finished 10th last season and adding Kante isn't going to massively improve that. I'm really not a fan of the formation he keeps using, in my opinion a 4-3-3 would suit us perfectly with kante, Fabregas and RLC in the middle, using the current midfield we have zero creativity and most of the time we have no need for Kante and Matic. For a manager that had so much success with Pirlo as his main man, the fact that he thinks we don't need creativity in the middle is really baffling to me, Fabregas could play that role perfectly.

If we took out ivanovic, Oscar and Matic our team is already much much better.

RLC seems to be further away from the first team now than he has for the last 2 years. Not even making the last couple of matchday squads, never mind getting meaningful minutes on the pitch

This is the guy that wanted Oscar so bad in Juventus. So the brazilian is not going anywhere. He will play until Conte's last day here, which will be soon with that "philosophy". The things he's done in Juventus, the trophies he's brought, should've guaranteed him a place in the fans hearts like Pep, Heynckes and Klopp in Barcelona, Bayern and Borussia. Not even close... no success in Champions league, his favourite players on the pitch all the time even when didn't deserve, goals from offsides and fake penalties... this is what he's done so far. Needs to prove himself in Chelsea but he is working in the opposite direction.

And who would you replace him with?

The first four options were Bielsa, Sampaoli, Guardiola and Simeone - all of them rejected job at chelsea :)

nevertheless, it is way too early to talk about Conte's results, give him time at least till spring - so we all can see how the team is playing and where his "philosophy" brings us.

Well, he left a scar in the heart of Juve fans not for his way to manage the team. To be fair, the Juventus that played under him during his first year as a coach was the most exciting I've seen play from the nineties.

On the other hand he has a huge issue with communication and he's extremely stubborn, instead of taking responsibilities after having lost to Galatasaray and eliminated from the group stage of the Champions League he said that we couldn't expect him to win with a panda, when other teams were equipped with tanks, even if no one was requesting him to dominate Real Madrid but at least to win both matches against Copenhagen. He also left Juve during preseason after a harsh discussion regarding the transfer market with our management, stating that Juve would have not become competitive again in Champions for a long time. There's plenty of stuff for some fans to despise him, but personally I am still thankful for having brought us to be great again and I am sure he will do the same with Chelsea. I haven't seen yesterday's game to be honest, but the draw against Swansea is solely on certain players shoulders. I also think that you're confusing him with Allegri in reference to Oscar.

Conte's got a learning curve. What was sort of alarming he was most concerned about our players concentration and passion. He had a good chapter about that in his post game interview. It needs to come from within the players.

We have a pretty tough two games ahead. If we lose both we are out of a cup and trailing by a large margin in the table.
