Wasn't it on his first game managing Chelsea.

So already there's a lot of us unhappy with his appointment and then he wears the colours of his former team on his maiden outing in the Chelsea dug out.

It kind of summed up his mindset to how he approached his time at Chelsea, he didn't want to be here he just wanted to use it as a stepping stone back into top flight management... Good to see that worked out well for him.

I honestly don't remember when it was, although to be honest I don't think Benitez was ever going to win that battle of hearts and minds, regardless of the colour of his tie.

He wore red shoes so that means he always wanted to be UTD`s manager? you actually believe that? What a ridiculous thing to think. I couldnt give a f**k if it was Mourinho wearing red knickers, Wenger wearing a white jumper or Mao Tse tsung wearing a blue onesie, it means nothing.

Slight misunderstanding of what I said mate. I said since becoming manager he's all about coordinating his shoes, phone case, etc. I think he really buys into United, I think it really was the job he has always wanted since he started management. Do you remember when people said that he wanted the job after Fergie left and got snubbed for Moyes then he came to us, that was a rumour. I never believed it until I see his behaviour now, he genuinely looks like he feels he's at the apex of his career now. The little color coordination and stuff suggests to me at least that he has major pride in being their manager. I feel like to him we are now just an uncomfortable appendix he would rather forget about.

It fits because Mourinho is not a fan. He is an employee. Employed by a different organisation. If he has emotional feel gs toward Chelsea and the fans he shouldn't show it. Not in that scenario anyway.

I guess this is just another unhealthy symptom of football management today... You're not supposed to show any emotions or attachment to previous clubs. Just another sign that the true meaning of football has been usurped by business mentality. Shame that.

yes mate, it was his first game in charge.  Came out to the dugout with a red-ish tie on.  Even the commentators out this way made light of the fact.  As you said, he was never going to win Chelsea over.  Has to be the least liked manager to ever deliver us silverware.

Interesting recruitment from Conte.

Looks like we're going for, predominately, players with Premier League experience a and by extension can already speak English.

Minimises adaptation time and reduces communication problems so you would think they can slot in much quicker.

Bats is the only outfield player signed without Premier League experience and Conte has been keen not to throw him in at the deep end.

If we do complete the signing of Luiz I think it could be a rather shrewd if understated transfer window.

Great. You've cracked what modern football now is. Not pleasant, but it is what it is. We as fans are supposed to be the second half of what's most important. The first being the players of course. But it is now a business especially for top clubs. Fans feelings/input are now an afterthought.

Thanks for being so condescending. It's people like you that put people off forums so I appreciate that. If I wanted a lecture I would back in with my parents.

My bad. Didn't intend to be disdainful.

we know that guardiola likes his keeper with good feets but i think it's pretty clear that conte loves defenders with great passing ability with the last two signings , or maybe he just got really tired of ivanovic sending his crosses in the stands

TBH, Fatty could have worn a replica 1970 Chelsea kit with Osgood 9 on the back and I still wouldn't have liked him!

I don't buy that, Rafa confirmed that he knew Jose was returning when he had that meltdown at Boro which was early March.

Also Jose was very much happy during his first few months back here, he was even getting on with Wenger.

I do think Jose had an attraction to United in some form and saw himself there potentially at some point, but as far as 2013 was concerned I think he was always coming back here.

Forgive me for not knowing where to write this post, I had a browse but nothing seemed to fit the bill.

Quick question anyway, managed to get tickets for Chelsea Vs Dippers in two weeks time, sitting inMHU Row Q seats 320.

Just want to know what the view & atmosphere is like there? Not sat there before

(Also got a feeling David Luiz is going to net with a freekick in this one!)

Really hope Jose wins it just to raise his ego even more (if possible) and put the level of expectation of his scummy Utd fanboys even higher.

His inevitable demise will then give me even more pleasure.

To be honest, Mike Phelan.

He has utilised Hull's limited resources extremely well.

I doubt he will do a Ranieri because his squad is clearly inferior to Leicester's 2015-16 squad, but he deserves the award nonetheless.

Isnt it just an opinion poll? The fans don't vote for these awards do they?
