I smoke and I hate it, always in the process of trying to quit! It is a bad habit that is detrimental to health, but in terms of footballers smoking, I think you have to remember a lot of footballers don't see themselves as being in a privileged job. I'm sure we would all like to think if we were elite footballers, we would do everything possible to be the best we can be, but for a lot of players it's just a job.

Everyone making excuses for him, but this was his chance to have a shed load of clubs determined to sign him He wasnt bad, but he wasnt very good and he definitely didnt stand out.

 

Surely as a Chelsea fan we want the best, not someone who every seems to believe is OK. I know its hard without champs league etc, but we should still strive to get the best players. I dont believe after what Ive seen he is Near World Class.

He has hardly blown his chance though has he? From all accounts it's him not wanting to come not vice versa.

he's not good enough, never been and probably never will at this state but then that could be just me being bias because I just don't rate players of his types..

That's a very premature thing to say, hes barely got started at the club and your basing this on media rumours.

I'm not saying they should or shouldn't do anything I'm just saying I don't get smoking. I never will, it's one of the most idiotic things in the world. You drink to get drunk, you eat bad food for the taste, what sort of pleasure do people get from cigarettes? Cause everyone I know who smokes regrets it, says it's disgusting and that its just to satisfy a craving created by the cig. I don't see the initial point of it like other stuff.

I don't want him.

I wanted him at the beginning, but now we have Kante and Matic partnership, with Chalobah as 2nd choice. We don't need him.

Would be a great addition in the middle of the park and add obvious depth. Behind Matic, Kante and Chalobah i can't really see anyone that suits that role. 

I would rather we sign Capoue

If Conte wants him, I want him. He knows this 'system' better than any of us ever will, and knows the player very well too. The board should support Conte if this guy is the one that he wants.

Hope we go back in for this guy in the summer. Don't see it happening as i think he loves it in Rome but my word is he a fantastic player. Saw him against Inter yesterday, probably one of the best midfielders in the world at the moment.

Conte does love him though and i don't think he's given up on Radja yet so it might be worth keeping an eye on.

Best box to box midfielder in the world at the minute, every aspect of his game is great, his energy is incredible, it's hard to believe he's a smoker as well!
