December 18, 201510 yr Just hours after sacking Jose Mourinho, Didier Drogba was asked by Roman Abramovich to return to #Chelsea. [Jeune Afrique] Roman Abramovich is ready to give Didier Drogba a managing role at #Chelsea and the player is keen on returning. [Jeune Afrique] Drogba is happy to return to #Chelsea, a club he loves, even though he felt Mourinho broke some promises when he returned. [Jeune Afrique] Any substance to this? Would love him back in any role
December 18, 201510 yr The team he's built this year is an absolute monster, comfortably one of the best two sides in the world, if not the best. It's all setting up wonderfully for a Barca-Bayern final in the Champions League this season. I spoke to Bluebeard and he says that he was concerned about that language barrier, but that anyone who gets David Beckham sent off is alright in his book! They were already the two best sides in world football when he took over at each respective club.It would be interesting to see what he could do here but I just don't think he'd be as successful without huge investment. Agree re; Simeone & Beckham

December 18, 201510 yr Other than speaking to the players and possibly Mourinho, Abramovich was due to hold detailed talks with Guus Hiddink. [Telegraph] Hiddink is expected to be in the Stamford Bridge stands to watch Holland and Newton take the managerial responsibilities. December 18, 201510 yr Jose Mourinho now at evens to be next Manchester United manager (Betfred) #CFC #MUFC Chelsea hierarchy would deserve this. EXCLUSIVE Romano: Shevchenko helped derail Mourinho's Chelsea http://www.calciomer...-chelsea-749028

December 18, 201510 yr PLEASE READ AND SHARE THOUGHTS: This HAD to happen. Although it is not gospel, listen to well respected football pundits talking. Most are not shocked. They Said it had to happen. Yes the players are responsible. But this is the case in pretty much every Managerial sacking. The players aren't performing for the manager. I keep seeing that we should sack the players and not Jose. Those people need a reality check. This is football. A board cannot sack 5,6,7 players for the sake of the manager. I do not feel like any particular was purposely not trying for Jose, however he has definitely failed inspire many this season and that extra 5,10% (maybe more in some cases) that he hasn't had from the players has cost us. Ultimately it is part of his job to get the players highly motivated to win football matches. He tried everything from publicly outing them, to supporting them, to dropping them. Nothing was working and his time was up. This is not a bad 2, 3 months. This is pretty much the worst it can get. People call for stability, and this being the one chance. Our club under Jose was the most UNSTABLE going. The idea he could be another Ferguson was lovely in theory, but naive and unrealistic. One major point I want to say is this. In the respect that the players haven't tried 100% and listened to instructions, I feel sympathy for Jose. He did try NEARLY everything. One thing I cannot live with, and a main reason why I am happy he is gone, is that he was to stubborn in his ways. He never changed formation. Although he dropped players, he never made wholesale changes and gave fringe players an extended run. Kennedy, Baba. Mikel, Remy, Traore, Aina, RLC must look at the situation and think 'WHAT HAVE I GOT TO DO TO PLAY IN THIS TEAM'. He didn't give youth a chance at our worst, he was never going to do it our best. I wish him well, and he will be a legend always, but his time was up. I sincerely hope for Pep. It may work it may not. But I can guarentee a lot of our squad will be a lot more excited to play his brand of football than JM. It will also be nice to see his philosophy trying to be implemented down at the bridge.Simeone for me would just be a JM no2. Sorry for the long read, but its my first Post for a while.
December 18, 201510 yr like mourinho but what can he do : 1.none can head the ball into goal 2. all duels were lost 3. one striker upfront 4.defence open

December 18, 201510 yr what did you do to those players, jose? Sky Sports: The Decision to sack Jose was welcomed at the chelsea Dressing Room... Run them into the ground. Physically and Mentally.
December 18, 201510 yr Well I have taken a little time for reflection rather than a knee jerk reaction to the dismissal of JM to post onto this site. The methods that JM uses to win games...trophies are pretty well known. It requires wholehearted commitment to the cause by him and all those involved. The press conference after the Leicester game said it all ... betrayal. What was going on the training pitch was not translating into the game pitch. I went to that game and I saw players bottling tackles, very poor passing and basically a lot of nothing all over the place but still I sang and implored for them to do their best. I am not surprised that JM continued to show so much belief in those who continued to perform poorly on game day. JM trusted them. Perhaps not believing that a professional would never not give his absolute best for the team. That was all about to change following the Leicester City game. Certain players were just not going to get a look in. Only then did the board react. Draw your own conclusion. When a decision makes no sense remember it's all about the money. Or am I shaping facts and was the loss to Leicester just the last straw? Perhaps JM should have dealt with the situation much much earlier. Perhaps the board were expecting him to use the youth. A mistake has been made imo. JM one of if not the best manager in the world has been sacked and he will be replaced by someone not quite as good. I like most Chelsea supporters was hoping for a long term project to really take place a la SAF at Manure. I wish Chelsea every continued success but I feel the same now as I did after the sacking of Ancelotti (won the double) in the Everton tunnel and the sacking of Di Matteo (won the Champions League) at 4am in the morning. Or going back even further McCreadie after taking us back up for daring to ask for a cheap car. There are ways to do things and ways not to. Chelsea shooting themselves in the foot is a tradition we really need to dump. Up the Blues Win or Lose!
December 18, 201510 yr EXCLUSIVE Romano: Shevchenko helped derail Mourinho's Chelsea http://www.calciomer...-chelsea-749028 Not again!
December 18, 201510 yr what did you do to those players, jose? It must have been horrible considering Claudio forced his players to listen to Kasabian and they still seem to love him!
December 18, 201510 yr Run them into the ground. Physically and Mentally. Make them premier league champions and this is how they repay him.
December 18, 201510 yr Lots of rumours flying around about Mourinho joining United if Van Gaal fails the Xmas period, which is looking likely. If Van Gaal secures top 3 he will still be let go in May to replaced by Jose who will be given a £150 million transfer kitty. Fergie has chatted at length with Mourinho this morning (apparently) and he would jump at the chance to manage Man Utd. I am not on a wind up and respect your forum - just repeating what a source very close to the club told me about 10 minutes ago. Edited December 18, 201510 yr by RAWK Meltdown
December 18, 201510 yr ^ Why, though? He's not the man to be playing the type of football being sought over there.

He will win the lot if he goes to United. This seasons title if he goes there soon, cl in the future. Lucky United, we have given them a big Xmas gift. You guys should sack lvg right away. BTW was someone before suggesting the drog as a potential manager for us? That would be interesting.
December 18, 201510 yr ^ Why, though? He's not the man to be playing the type of football being sought over there. I think Woodward and Fergie crave silverware more than anything. You never played football as bad as we are at the moment either. I enjoyed watching Mourinho's Porto, his first Chelsea side and his Real Madrid side.

The thought of Jose given the funds and power of Manchester United is intimidating.

Would be a bad moment to take any job, he needs a break to recover from this.
December 18, 201510 yr what did you do to those players, jose? Sky Sports: The Decision to sack Jose was welcomed at the chelsea Dressing Room... Doesn't seem to tie up with the pictures of players arriving at training this morning, but hey, if Sky Sources understand....
