Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2016/2017

If City can beat Tottenham, and we beat Hull. 10 points clear would be insane. (8 ahead of Arsenal, assuming they win)

Also, I'm fearing our Liverpool game a bit less.

Fantastic result. Hopefully city win today, and we put the nail in liverpools coffin in 10 days time.

All the current top 4 play each other in the next 3/4 weeks.

Fingers crossed we can keep this advantage and maybe even go further clear.

The evolution of the Anfield crowd:

Kick-Off - "Liiiiivvverrpooooll. Liiivverrrpooooll."

45 minutes with no goals - "..."

0-1 - "..."

0-2 - "..."

1-2 - "Liiiverrrpoooool. Liiiveeerrrpooool."

2-2 - "LIVVERRRPOOOLL... LIVVERRPOOOOOL."

2-3 - "..."

FT - "..."

That is a real shocker of a result, and a timely reminder to us. If Swansea, with a new manager, can go to Liverpool and do that we must treat hull with respect or risk the same happening to us.

Well sh*t! I would never have called that result!

That is absolutely massive for us. Suddenly our game against the scousers doesn't seem all that important...

All of our games are important, we cannot be complacent.

@Zeta I assume you resisted the temptation to start watching?  Thanks for that, much appreciated.

Actually I watched most of the match. Was going to turn it off when they got back to 2-2, but decided to throw caution to the wind.

I'm going to stick up for Wenger and Arsenal here, For the amount of grief they get for being 'bottlers' and most of it rightly so, Liverpool never get labelled bottlers despite constantly imploding, Losing cup finals and getting their hopes up in December/January time only to fall flat on their face time and time again. I don't think I've ever heard a pundit refer to Liverpool's bottlerbility yet Arsenal get slated for that all the time, Weird?
