We still have to play Stoke, West Brom, West Ham, Everton, United - potentially the worst run of away fixtures we could have got. I think our home form will decide if we win the league because I can't see us taking more than 5/6pts from our remaining away games (and that's me being optimistic)

Stoke (a) and whu (a) should be wins. United (a) a draw is as good as a win. everton will be tricky and wba is our bogey away team. irrespective, atleast 2 wins.

just noticed the quarter-finals and semis of the Champions League are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday nights... that's new isn't it?

11–12/04/17: Quarter-finals, first leg
18–19/04/17: Quarter-finals, second leg
02–03/05/17: Semi-finals, first leg
09–10/05/17: Semi-finals, second leg

These dates fall on a Tuesday and Wednesday mate.

Look forward too it as well, going to be nice to watch some big matches one can just enjoy.

In other news its being reported Gabriel Jesus is going to miss the rest of the season with a broken metatarsal.

That really sucks. I know they're our rivals but he's a genuinely exciting prospect for the premier league. Hope he comes back stronger.

It's a blow but in all honesty I don't think City will miss him that much given that they have Agüero waiting in the wings. Not only is he a top quality striker but he knows that he is fighting for his future at the club, he more or less said as much a few weeks ago.

Feel sorry for Jesus though given how electric and promising a start he'd made.

That's really backfired on Pep...he's pissed off one of the best strikers in the world and now has to go back to him and say 'sorry mate, I know I dropped you for a teenager, but he's injured now... can you help me out?'

Don't wish injury on anyone and we know that injuries to Costa and Hazard would leave us seriously short.

But with Jesus out, it would certainly be handy if Aguerro picks up a knock in the Arsenal game, just before they play us. Actually, would rather see Luiz get some revenge and put him into the stands (as long as he's subtle and doesn't get a red card for it!)

I would argue that it would be Luiz, Kante or tibo that would cause us more problems if they were missing than eden and Costa. On their day are they two of the best in the world at what they do? Absolutely. However on a consistent basis the three above give us 7 of 8 out of 10 every week. Hazard is brilliant but often disappears,  Costa is in a rut at the moment as an in form Costa would have provided wins at Liverpool and Burnley imo.

I am just really hoping is a couple of bad games rather than the China stuff fluffing with his head or we may be relying on Pedro goals to get wins.

That's not what's on the UEFA website but what do they know?

I'm not one for reading too much into most stats you see banded about. But this one is interesting....

Minutes per Shots faced (Premier League after 25 games each. )

Burnley faced one shot every, 4 mins and 51 secs.

Dippers faced, one shot every, 11 mins 43 secs.

Bur 4.51
Sun 4.57
Hul 5.00
Lei 5.40
Sto 6.15
Wat 6.21
Swa 6.22
Bou 6.25
Mid 6.29
CPA 6.38
WBA 6.39
Whu 6.40
Eve 7.43
Ars 8.36
Sou 8.51
Tot 9.29
MnU 9.37
Che 10.36
MnC 11.32
Liv 11.43

Some good CL games today just to enjoy without any pressure.

I just want to skip in time to the swansea game though and get back to winning ways. 13pts from the next 5 games until we face City is what I hope we achieve. I still think Spurs will be the team closes to us when the season ends though.

Nuts. Aguero is going to have a point to prove now. I expect he'll score every other match from here on out

Champs lge back...must admit, barring a horrid collapse, I'm looking forward to us being back in it next year...

It's crap until the knockouts, home nations and big clubs avoiding each other just makes it all a bit boring early on.

Ah but you're just talking about the football...there's the trips, the bars, the drinking, the craic

Yeah it is great to get away for a few days, don't miss the travelling though.
