July 18, 20169 yr so if you put 1 mil on leicester to win the league last season then you win 5 billions? geez, even 1k will net you 5mils, what an opportunity missed.. question is now who's next?
July 18, 20169 yr it's a good recruit but how much is his salary wiith us? I take it he rejected a 100k offer from leicester so almost certainly our offer is a lot higher than that.. I can totally understand leicester's fans for doing what they're going to do when we play them next season because going from a champion who has CL to a midtable team who completely doesn't have european football is an act of humiliation to them.. it's a bitter pill to take.. It's maybe too soon for me to say it but seems like for a small team to be champion isn't enough to transform them, kante will be 1st of many to leave..

Well Leicester clearly don't have the pull we do and that's understandable. We have been wining trophies regularly including European ones of late. Last season was a blip for Chelsea, we are a bigger club then Leicester.
July 18, 20169 yr Can't say I really know much about him, so I'll reserve my judgement until he's had some time to adjust to the team.

Last season was a blip for Chelsea, we are a bigger club then Leicester. That of course is without a shadow of a doubt. I just feel (from neutral pov) that he should at least stick with leicester for another season because it's leicester 1st ever CL adventure and could be their only 1 in their history.. don't you think kante being 1 of the main man who made that happen should be in that adventure? The fact we're not in CL next season even make it more baffling unless he's a chelsea fan like us then of course everything is clear..
July 18, 20169 yr I Kanté believe it, hopefully we get a couple more good lads in the team. Time to build

July 18, 20169 yr I literally laughed out loud seeing this! That's brilliant! Mad Photoshop skills me, mad.
July 18, 20169 yr Glad we signed in an area needed. Wonder what'll happen in the mid now. Also, do we give Emanelo any credit for this?
July 19, 20169 yr Glad we signed in an area needed. Wonder what'll happen in the mid now. Also, do we give Emanelo any credit for this? I think not. Emenalo sacked Jose so he is still all evil and cannot make such a purchase. It was a Conte buy. We like Conte. [emoji6]
July 19, 20169 yr I am delighted about the signing of N'Golo Kante as he will be crucial for our midfield revival. There was literally no other player i wanted more and for 30mill +? Bargain deal Edited July 19, 20169 yr by TrueBlueBIH
July 19, 20169 yr its great to feel like we have a new mini makele in the team, I remember when he scored (rare occasions) and the whole team would really celebrate together and practically laugh at the fact he had got his name on the score sheet. If we cant have back those memories with Claude, I hope Kante brings us new ones. P.s the whole team in general in that Makele era was such a brilliant squad, really felt like a band of brothers. Cech, terry, cole, carvalho, ferriera , lamps, duff, robben , drogs , gallas and the list goes on and on. Good times!
July 21, 20169 yr Boys a machine, having him in the engine room will finally see us not get overrun in midfield.
July 21, 20169 yr Boys a machine, having him in the engine room will finally see us not get overrun in midfield. I agree, but he's more than just an engine, he's a clever player, him and Willian will be a great pair to have in midfield, I would hate to play players like them, you never get the ball of them much.
July 21, 20169 yr Something tells me that if Kante continues his physical play and performs the same type of tackle as last year, he won't get the same leniency from the refs. We know how much the refs love Chelsea and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets more yellows and a few more reds to his name this year.
July 21, 20169 yr Cant wait to see him playing for us. Makalele v2 perhaps! I think that's what we are all hoping. Although, I think there are similarities, there are some differences too. I love his reading of the game, and how he lets the ball do some of the work, like Maka. He also shields the ball well with his body, and seems comfortable on the ball. Where he differs, for me. He seems a bit more willing to carry the ball forward, as compared to Maka. Different systems, as Maka really was an anchor in a midfield 3. But Kante seems to be more willing to run and pass it further forward. I remember when Maka arrived, meeting up before a game, and a few of us talking about Maka. Of course, at that time, it was "he doesn't attack, just passes sideways or backwards, or at best 6 yards forward....etc." Thankfully those same people then saw the little genius that he became.
