February 2, 20179 yr put it this way, can you imagine if it had been the other way around and frank spent his career at liverpool !! in the media eyes he would of been the greatest midfielder of our time and gerard at chelsea would of been what he was, just a decent midfielder.
February 2, 20179 yr Lots of tributes pouring in. Although I remember a time some fans booed him when he played for City and played at Stamford.
February 2, 20179 yr You know I can't stand 'arry but seeing that West Ham Fans forum again where he sticks up for Frank to those dreadful supporters is quite emotional.

February 3, 20179 yr Just read JT's Instagram tribute to Lamps, christ John, lump in throat or what. We should all feel honoured to have been around to see this guy play for our team, incredible. Enjoy your pipe and slippers Frank, we all love you dearly x
February 3, 20179 yr Author That BBC poll their running Lampard Vs Gerrard is just crass. They've both retired from playing now so why not just celebrate both their successful careers rather than resorting to what's such a petty and pointless debate, especially on the day Frank announced his retirement.
February 3, 20179 yr Apparently Frank is coaching the youth team today and doing some sessions with them. Great move by the club to get him involved early doors before he's snapped up by another club.

Lack of imagination on their part I fear. I imagine they largely posted the same thing when he left the Premier League in the first place, with the addendum '...oh and he played in the MLS for a bit I suppose'.
February 3, 20179 yr He's received a tribute from every club he played for, even Swansea. Except for West Ham, who hasn't said anything at all. Classless club!
February 3, 20179 yr The NY red bulls, which I wasn't aware was a team, what a dump of a club. This is why the MLS will never be taken seriously, they still don't understand football, who mocks a legend when they retire? Pathetic. Mind you, I don't know what you expect from a club named after a drink. Edited February 3, 20179 yr by Floyd25

February 3, 20179 yr I doff my cap to you Sir Frank, what a career at Chelsea, what adventures we all had as it unfolded. To many special memories and important goals to mention. Am privileged to have watched many a Chelsea 'Great' and the odd 'Legend' in my time but for all round contribution to our Club's success I would put you at the very top of my list in a tussle for top spot with JT and The Drog. Hopefully Chelsea will provide you with a home and allow you to pass on to our youngsters what it takes to get to the very top and inspire another group to want to become Legends themselves. PS. The Essex Caravan Club have once again show the world what a classless bunch of c***s they are, a club who spawned Lampard, Cole and Ferdinand and now rely on the likes of Snodgrass and now play on a council pitch, where next I wonder Hackney Marshes!!
February 3, 20179 yr And as for that scouse rat Gerrard, don't make me laugh, stats and personality have Lamps leading by a country mile. The scouse c**t only stayed there because local gangsters threatened him.

Both are one of a kind footballers, obviously I prefer Lampard but there isn't much separating both.
February 3, 20179 yr A true legend of the club. Cannot wait to see him back in any capacity. Edited February 3, 20179 yr by Sharpy

February 3, 20179 yr In every way.......Super Frank is definately a class above slips on his arse Gerrard !! ................Gerrard stayed in a comfort zone, and was too scared to move from Liverpool, .........whereas Super Frank was more ambitious and had the balls to move and take the stick from the Pikeys.
February 3, 20179 yr There aren't really any words which could possibly do justice for what Frank Lampard did for our club, or for what he means to me. I don't have the memory or the emotional capacity to take in every moment of what he did for us, or of all of our great moments during which he stood tall. All I can say is, in brief, is that beyond the trophies, records, and individual accolades, I think his greatest legacy is or should be that he is the very paragon of what a professional footballer should strive to be. Super Frank is the very meaning of footballing legend. He is a legend to his club and to his country. What else could the very institution which founded our sport do but aim to replicate his legend with every youngster which comes our way? Any human being striving for anything, which is ostensibly just beyond their grasp, would do well to look up to Super Frank. Thank you. Edited February 3, 20179 yr by PloKoon13
