I would have thought Roma might have expected early long balls hit over the top for speedy small players to run on to. It's hardly revolutionary. Italian quality defending ....... not!
April 24, 20188 yr But half his current potential is still very good, and that should have been seen by our coaches. Edited April 24, 20188 yr by Phillip

If we kept hold of these players we sold, we would have the best team in world. We never learn.....we dont give managers time or players. 3 minutes ago, Brutos said: Chelsea do not give players time, the majority of thr fans are the same Sadly you hit the nail.....

Even while playing quick intricate passes, Liverpool can play a long ball in a heartbeat and one of Firminho, Mane or Salah will get it and torture opposition defence line with it. I hate to say this, but this Liverpool team is good.
April 24, 20188 yr Salah is unbelievably good. Arguably best in the world at the moment. Gutted he isn't doing in a blue shirt, but I don't think anyone saw this sort of potential. Of course they did that's why they bought him from Basel but we want ready made players. We do not build players ever.

Salah player of the year in England (will probably win world player of the year with the way things are going) De Bruyne runner up and most important player for City right now, Lukaku a regular 20 goals a season striker (has a lot missing in his game though) I remember watching Salah in his Basel days, he used to get tons of chances to score for them, he just missed more often than not. Eng product was the main part of his game that he was missing, but now it's pretty much spot on. Edited April 24, 20188 yr by Scott Harris
April 24, 20188 yr what odds on Roma getting an away goal? I think that's their only hope - even going down 3-1 might be ok but they'd have to come up with a better defensive plan for the return leg

We may ship them out and they will turn extremely good players again and we would be left biting our nails. Edited April 24, 20188 yr by BiafranBlue

Bakayoko has never shown any potential in his career, even last season at Monaco he was average every time i watched him. I was always against us signing him. If he ever turns into a world class footballer, i will be really shocked.

Bakayoko I agree, needs time, but he doesn't have any notable attributes tbh

If you stuck a man on Salah all game it would negate most of his play, stick one on Hazard and it would be a waste of a man. Unless like Hererra you can foul him 10 times and get no cards

Come on, if Salah was looking like turning into one of the best players in the world a Basel, he would've cost a he'll of a lot more than £15m, and we wouldve had more competition when we bought him. We played double that for hazard, and we fought off every big club in the world to sign him. I agree we should've shown more patience with 'big 3' that got away, but it's a debate that has already been done to death on here.

If someone says they saw his current form coming they'd be a massive liar. Can't recall anyone desperate to buy him back from Roma. I would love to go back and see if the same posters blasting Mourinho were sticking their necks out for Salah when & a season after we sold him. I very much doubt it, given that a lot of fans on here love to write off players after one season.
April 24, 20188 yr Glenn hoddle the Liverpool fan haha, absolute cringe fest, shut up Glen. Anyway, Liverpool have been far the better team, deservedly ahead, Roma haven’t turned up. Edited April 24, 20188 yr by Floyd25
