February 23, 20188 yr Sol Campbell says he is one of the greatest minds in football after being overlooked by Oxford http://www.skysports.com/football/news/18939/11261676/sol-campbell-says-he-is-one-of-the-greatest-minds-in-football-after-being-overlooked-by-oxford He really is a complete bell end isn't he, I'm surprised he hasn't blamed it on racism yet.
February 23, 20188 yr It's bizarre how he went from "I'm intelligent enough" to "I'm one of the greatest minds in football" in the space of two sentences. Maybe he misspoke? Misquote? Self-parody? I suppose I'd probably be too angry to be coherent too if I was rejected in favour of Craig Bellamy. Perhaps he should stick to politics... "I did go (for the Oxford job) and they didn't accept me, Maybe it was a lack of experience, things like that, but it's a full circle. Experience? How do I get experience? Well, I need a job to get experience. I don't want to go too low that it's a struggle, and I don't want to go too low that I'm under someone and thinking 'what am I doing here?' I would rather be managing a club myself. I'm confident and it's not like it's rocket science to run a football club, especially when you get to that level. If you're intelligent enough and a quick learner you will learn pretty soon, within two or three games, what the team needs, training-wise, to survive in that league, get better in that league, to get in the play-offs or even win the league. I'm intelligent enough, it's not like I played on a fox and dog pitch all my life. I can't believe some people, I'm one of the greatest minds in football and I'm being wasted because of a lack of experience or 'maybe he talks his mind too much'. Go to Germany, they love people who speak their minds. They got the jobs. I'm sorry that I've got a mind, but don't be scared of that. That should be something you want at your club, but obviously not."
February 23, 20188 yr Sol is obviously suffering badly with delusional grandeur, it's a serious condition and i feel sorry for him to be honest.

I have seen Messi's goal against us a few times now and i still believe Courtois could have saved it if he hadn't guessed. Courtois does make good saves now and again, but it would be nice to see him making those match winning reflex saves more often. If he was as good as people say he is, he would do it more often that he does. I think De Gea would have saved Messi's shot yesterday, it's not a coincidence that he keeps making these saves, he is just brilliant at it. More of a calculated decision than a 'guess' as is obviously an experienced 'keeper eh. Had to give himself enough time to get down and Messi conned him with his body shape. De Gea is the dog's tho...
February 23, 20188 yr Arsenal have just drawn AC Milan in the next round of the Europa League. They're finished

February 23, 20188 yr If Sol is a person who 'speaks his mind' then his mind is clearly malfunctioning.

I remember having a lot of respect for Jimmy Floyd when, in order to kickstart his managerial careers, he went down to League Two to manage Burton Albion. Doubly so when he managed to get them into the Championship for the first time ever in their history in the space of two years.
February 23, 20188 yr https://fusion.tv/story/111366/but-i-am-sol-campbell/ A lot of weird stories about Sol, there was a running meme around about "But I am Sol Campbell" quote, his response when he never landed a Premier League job in management. He should take notes from 99% of former Premier League players who never landed a Premier League management job right away. I mean what's Steven Gerrard doing? He's coaching the under 18's Liverpool side, I doubt he could just walk into any management job, he would probably have to start in League 1, Championship if he was very lucky. February 23, 20188 yr I think Sol Campbell has taken too many hits to the head. He needs to seriously shut his idiotic mouth up. It's like the world owes him a favour.

February 23, 20188 yr http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11263895/wimbledon-fan-banned-and-fined-after-torrent-of-abuse I only post this because; The person being abused was apparently a Chelsea supporter. It’s like the Wimbledon days of old.
February 24, 20188 yr Undeserved equaliser there. Absolute howler from Butland. Been watching Zouma, but he's not had all that much to do, most of the leicester attacks have been gone either side of him, as he's playing the centre of a 3. Still looks a bit clumsy on the ball though.
February 24, 20188 yr Ryan Sessengnon will be a brilliant talent for whatever PL team lands him next season.
