We need to try something different and more solid.  I would be happy to see 4 at the back 3 mid and 3 forwards.  I hate seeing us getting run over like Palace did us.

We could have played a 442 diamond an still got run over by palace. The issue was our attitude which was lackadaisical and gave the impression we thought we won the game before a ball was kicked, also the fact that palace dont have international players and trained hard with their coach for 2 weeks while our star studded squad was travelling around the world. Either way enuff with the excuses . We are the champions and have shown with the Spurs and Athletico games that when we want to turn up we are a force to be reckoned with.. I expect the lads to blow Roma away 

I think Conte should seriously consider giving Alonso a rest, i think he's struggling a lot more this season. He's having to do a lot more defensive work because he's being targeted as our weak link and after all of that he is too knackered to contribute to the team going forward. Whenever i watch Alonso of late, he look's like he is having to put in more effort than he was last season, everything is looking like a struggle for him. Missing out on signing a LB could become a big problem this season.

I would like to see this against Roma

Good morning everyone, let's do this!! I'm really excited for a big CL match at the Bridge, it's been quite a while. 

Roma haven't had a great season so far, but neither have we so it will definitely be tough. 

 

The team I would like to see:

Zappa - Baka - Luiz - Cesc - Alonso

Morata - Hazard

Yh we'll probably win this but our season looks bleak right now. Whatever, let people get hyped tonight. Kind of lost all the excitement for now, can't wait for Rome to press us high!! Looks like every team has found out we can't play against a high press. 

 

Morata probably won't start, returning from injury and having Watford on Saturday.

I'd push Luiz in the midfield just to block the hole, and he hasn't done his defensive jobs well lately, the old crazy Luiz is returning. I'd drop Cahill and Willian too, think Conte will stick with the captain but Pedro should come in for a home game like this. We are almost at the point of playing youth players now given the amount of injuries we just suffered lately, so I wouldn't risk Morata unless the game is on the line.

To be honest, I'd take a scoreless draw right now, just not feeling confident, happily to be wrong.

Not feeling too optimistic about this game which is understandable considering how we have performed recently but if I try and find some positivity then we do seem to have played our best football in the CL so far....KTBFFH!!!

We really need a positive result to carry us into the weekend.

Roma are my favourite Italian Team.

Just got on the coach down to London for this. Not feeling optimistic but we've played well in CL so far so fingers crossed! 

Another must win match. Roma will be tough opposition and their midfield is like a steel wall. For that reason Fabregas shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the midfield. If he does play then he must play further  forward. Luiz in midlield. Dave, Rudiger and Christianson at the back. Hazard, Pedro/Fabregas, Morata. upfront. Not going to be easy but it will depend on Conte's team selection and tactics which have been sadly lacking in the past two games. 3 points would be ideal. Let's hope we get them. COME ON YOU BLUES  !!!

It's 2012 again, crap league performances followed by miraculous European nights, enjoy it.

I am already feeling the excitement of the game but I am not sure how to feel, it will all depend on which Chelsea turns up. Will be going with the missus, so the players better perform if they don't want to feel her wrath!

Going into this on a dampner, I'd swap the win here tonight for points in the PL. A win tonight and we can start looking towards our league games to try and make ground. I believe we will bounce back in the league. City game we were just well off it, midweek definitely cost us in Madrid but City look phenomenal. 

 

Palace, lets be fair not only were the players complacent the fans were too, I dont understand how people thought it would be an easy game when they had 2 weeks to prepare for the game with a basically full squad. They have good players,Zaha,Townsend,Cabaye,Sakho, Puncheon all more than capable on their day and they never give it to us easy in SP. 

Whats sickening the most lately being Chelsea fan is seeing all these players that Mourinho sold for us. De Bruyne, Lukaku(albeit I still prefer Morata) Salah. These players are ripping it up in the PL and he sold them on us. 

Tonight Im going to prioritise PL and take a chance. A draw tonight is ok,a loss and it leaves us with work to do but got to back ourselves, whats for sure is that we cannot lose any further ground in the PL. I dont care how good City are, they will hit a bad patch at some point like last season. 

I would like to see a Willianless team tonight and go with:
