Can't help but miss Costa in games like this, where our striker is just basically not there.

??????  . football is not about creating chances its about taking them. Man city created a lot of chances last season the difference is they are taking them this season. We have to wake up and Conte has to do a better job of rotating his players. 

Roma rested players over the weekend and in the big games a little freshness goes a long way because the players are usually equal.

Jose rested players today and i bet they will be  fresher and more physical than us over the weekend

That was really strange I thought. There was no urgency from him and he didn't put on the afterburners like usual. Maybe the injury has affected his pace and explosiveness?

Head to head is what decides the group if a team is tied on points.

Fabregas is really good at certain times. But you don't want him in a 2 man midfield in a tough european away fixture.

There's one thing the elite defenders apart from their own talent had/have. Maldini, Baresi, Rio, Vidic, Terry, Puyol, Ramos,.... They all could organise their defence to cover when they can't. I don't see any of ours capable of that.
