All is not lost but it’s either CL group or out altogether. Can’t be bothered with Europa.

Attacking wise we have been decent ...just not clinical. Poor defending yet again from a simple ball put into the box is costing us. Morata looks so short of confidence since that hamstring injury after such a wonderful start. He needs to impose himself more. We can definitely score here.

Still, it's not looking great for us right now. Since the Atletico Madrid game, we have looked pretty average. Nothing is clicking this season.

Conte IMO got the selection way wrong from the start.  But we turned up after their goal (in the first 40 seconds of the match).  Conte set up to get a point, that was his goal.  IMO that's not how top teams ever play.  I'm just overall pissed off but there's no one to blame but ourselves.  Really don't feel like Roma has outplayed us

Well, we've had more chances than Roma, we looked better this half. Our own mistakes gave Roma the lead, we're struggling there. Willian is getting criticized a lot, but Pedro isn't better at the moment. Anyways, last game was 2-0 for us, Roma did comeback 3-2. Everything is possible, it all depends on us now. Always when we pressed them, we won the ball. Why not press them since the beginning of the second half? We still can win this game, we have to believe and not give up, we still can do it! COME ON CHELS!!

I swear some of you don't actually watch the matches. We're playing well, creating chances, and are only behind because of a couple of freak moments. sh*t happens sometimes.

We've knocked the ball around ok, created but the killer instinct is missing. At this level you have to take your chances. Defensively we're a shambles, concede easy goals and you don't win anything. But worried about Morata, looks a bit like leading the line alone as the main man might be finding him out. It's his first proper season with the pressure, can he handle it?

does the scoreline reflects the balance of play? i would say no. we might haven't played that dominantly, but I think we improve a lot compared to the home game.

the first goal you can say it was unlucky for us (if you disregard the fact no one was marking Shaarawy), but the second goal was pure idiocy from Rudiger. he took a step back ffs. the bad thing about this is with them going 2 up, there isn't any reason for them to leave their box

We havent played badly in the first half, and were the better team imvho, two mistakes have cost us

Fabregas has played pretty well, I think people on here just scapegoat him alot of the time. He has his limitations defensively but centre midfield hasn't been the problem tonight, and we've actually played some decent stuff, that has mostly lost momentum when it's ended up with alonso and azpilicueta.

Well im hoping for a come back but i dont think this team has the stones for it. There is something rotten in this team and it has to be cut out

Azpi is not doing well as RWB. Conte should have given Zappa a chance and played Azpi on his normal place.

Yes but defensively we are terrible.

2 goals could have been prevented 

Lots of individual errors today and passing are sloppy at times.

We got suckerpunched twice against a pacy counterattacking Roma side.

Played ok just a pity we gifted them 2 goals and missed 2 of ours.

Everyone needs to keep their composure if games are played at this high of a tempo.

 

Shocking from Rudiger, Morata has been so invisible he's freeing up their defence to swamp everyone else. Poor crossing (not that there's anyone to cross to usually, why are we playing so far back in the box when they're not playing an offside trap?).

Hazard has been good but he's only capable shooting straight as a ruler which means their keeper gets a comfortable save every shot.

I'd put Willian on instead of Pedro and consider taking Morata off.

Watching the second goal again, the ball is so far out the box and he leaves it, so shocking

I totally agree, morata, bakayoko and hazard have all squandered great chances.
