Worthwhile buying him now in my view while Pedro is still here. Gives him a year to settle before he has to be the main guy.

He's 20 so we shouldn't expect Messi but his raw underlying qualities particularly his acceleration and balance should mean he makes a good buy regardless of his goals and assists at the moment.

according to Standard we are now having doubt whether to chase Bailey as Willian looks set to stay. as if I need anymore reason to dislike the guy...

I don’t think Willian staying should affect our pursuit of Bailey.  We could certainly use them both, we will most likely play 50+ matches this year if we go deep in the Europa League.

The Standard have reported nothing new. All they said was another team has shown interest alongside us, no new developments on our side.

If we only buy one more player this summer I hope it's Bailey.

Its a posiiton i feel we need to strengthen mainly because i just don't rate Pedro and Willian as we know it hit and miss. Linked with Zaha the other day too.

You'd hope that one of Willian or Pedro will leave this summer, I feel like our attacking options have become a bit stale with little change over the last three or so seasons. 

Would like to see someone new come in and offer something a bit different, a left footed wide player would be ideal. 

Personally i'd prefer to go after Brandt, but Bailey would also be a very good signing, if anything comes of these rumours

My guess is that he wouldn't want Willian to cost us the opportunity for a potential star in the position. Being that Willian is... well....

 

Leon Bailey's agent (his dad) said Leon's future will be sorted soon along with his brother. We are known for signing players' brothers too (Kylian and Eden Hazard). Both would need to be signed not just Leon himself I see this happening as Roma are the only other team in contention and not known for doing transfers this way.

Roma are pissed after the Malcom saga though, and could well put up a big fight if they really want Bailey.  I listened to a radio interview with Pallotta, and he was IRATE.  It’s possible they’ll do whatever it takes to get their man this time around.

I would love to get Bailey and Martial. We are not normally linked with these age and type players could be such an exciting front three next year

you know what, you are right, misdirected my dissapointment to him when it should be the board who should've been wiser (e.g. offload him to Barca when opportunity arose). still, the thought of having him yet again this season as our starting RW worries me. but transfer window is still some days left so let's see

In a perfect world  this summer We would buy both & ship out both Willian & Pedro. We can fix our defence & Forward position next summer. That is what Klopp has done with Liverpool, and we have enough decent defenders not to ship a ridiculous amount of goals. 

Higuain wouldn’t solve our goal scoring problems if our supply line still has to go through Hazard, and Willian/Pedro wouldn’t solve enough goals.

So we wait for roma to agree a fee, then we match it and give his dad a little sweetner.

We certainly need at least one more attacker. Preferably one who plays down the right or an out and out striker. Morata might work or he might flop. Willian is good but maybe not good enough.

Absolutely we do, id say its top priority.

The main reason I would like this move is because Bailey is a left footed attacker and pacey, so would be very useful on that RW. The issue is, just how good he is. Last season seems to be his best season with 9 goals and 6 assists in 30 apps, but we don't know his ceiling. He could be a total flop, but then again he's still very young. I am confident with Sarri in charge that he can improve pretty much any player, so it's very possible he could help improve Bailey a lot. If not Bailey, which other left footed attackers are there available? It seems to be a position which is important, but looking at City they have Sterling in that RW position and he's right footed, but he done very well last season so Willian or Pedro could do the same.

David Neres from Ajax comes to mind, but there really aren’t many left footed RW players to choose from.
