If Conte does get the sack it will be because of his over reliance on the same tactics. Has to take some of the blame for Baka's inept performances imho.

It happens when something big happens, in 15/16 early on the season it crashed every week.

Clearly something needs to change, nothing is working.
I'm hesitant to say but perhaps employ Carlo as Interim till the end of the season, then depending on how he does, offer him a contract or look elsewhere.

Conte : we were very bad from the start, bad performance - when you start in this way anything can happen. it is a difficult moment. i tried to warn everyone about the difficulty in trying to get a Champions League place. my choices (starting 11) were wrong. second half we tried to get back into it but always with a lot of confusion. the players ran until the end but in a bad way. i try to do everything in my job, if that is enough that's ok, if not they can make that decision (sack me)
